Tapering for tune-up races

Training for a marathon in the spring (Gtr Manchester), and have got a 1/2 marathon this weekend (Liversedge). Do people still taper for these races, and if so how much?

    Yes I am. Liversage is my next race before Silverstone ½ and London Marathon.
    I still did my long run last weekend 14 Miles but have chosen to only do do mid distance sessions this week, nice and easy so I feel fresh on Sunday. I assuming it is personal preference but a nice easy week lets me recharge batteries ready for a big race. Good luck
