Thank you both! I'm starting to get a bit nervous, but am determined to enjoy it
Had my last chiro treatment and sports massage, last run yesterday, carb loading is in full swing (starting to feel like Regina in Mean Girls "biscuits/croissants/cupcake frosting are carbs, right?") and will pack my bag tonight. All that's left is to run the thing!
Not sure if I'll get a chance to come back online until after the race, so if I don't - everyone have a great weekend!
Make sure you all take it easy, no sneaking in one last long run (too many of my friends have done this ahead of Brighton and now have all kinds of scary niggles that require physio tape and prayers to get them round).
One of my friends sent this to me, I read it (substituting 'London' for 'Brighton') and it made me tear up a bit! But also made me feel really confident and positive, hopefully it will do the same for you:
Aha, the Dragon who Slurps has beat me to it - I was dragged out of bed at ungodly hour to RD at parkrun. There were hail showers and a howling gale, we're on the Prom, it was fecking freezing!
I'd like to make it clear that Soupy is taking on this role in addition to her Dragon in Charge of Beer duties .... she can multi-task! She also comes complete with her own tapir who will be appearing on the day.
I am running, my number is 30066, and I should be at mile 17 in around 2 hours 20 I think, I plan to average 8.15 pace. I will be wearing a nike crop top, black shorts and bright orange nike lunarglide trainers. I will bring some jelly beans to the expo.
Hi Peeps well just a week to go these are photos of me from last year, I will be wearing the same top and will give a big shout group 4, group 4, beer in the pup after.
8 miles this morning with 7 @MP, 8 easy tomorrow. Looking forward to the race reports tomorrow night good luck in your marathons.

Had sports massage last night ow ow ow!
MWW - I think iron on letters are the way forward! Also I like the 'nilli' might have to change the name to biscuit Nilli.
I have ironed on my letters, had a minor cock-up with the first letter, but managed to fix it.
I have a wonky 'F' on the back of my vest, but other than that I am happy with it, and it only cost me £2.35!!
Hello all
Nikki - LOL...was sooo tired yesterday!
I don't think I'll be on here much over the weekend so just want to wish xine267 good luck with Brighton on Sunday!

"You went out when others stayed home. You were out running so early on a Sunday morning, whilst others simply pulled the covers over their heads."
golden rule now is
if unsure then rest
prepare your selves - sleep nicely, eat and drink and fuel up
get their fresh and injury free
you cannot change ure fitness now
Mick lol, true
Woohoo!!! As a latecomer supporter TP has allocated me to this group and I can't wait!
