KateF and Frodo- I have card for a sign. Any thoughts on dimensions? It is big and shiny silver. I think we should tie it to the railings. I will bring some string or plant wire or something.
Cubs will be on to the design aspect when they break up.
Now for the spreadsheet..........
And it's done. We are missing details from FF (who is running not supporting) and LM DaviesTraceyso will try messaging them.
OK: FF has gone to hash and VikW's group. LMDavies hasn't got messaging enabled and I have PM'd Tracey.
I think I have been woefully optimistic of my predicted time of arrival at mile 17. Woefully. Sadly and painfully, I think I will be there between 1.30 - 2pm.
Ouch.
My calfs feel like someone is smashing them with a hammer.
Well done on the PB, you sound rightly chuffed, PB on the way for Brighton too? From running last year I think the best thing to help runners spot you is the balloons, I am going to look out for some numbers 6es.
My Brighton prep is going badly, two days off running (the most since December) after a bone graft in my gum, all the drugs are making my legs feel like lead. Well, that and the piece of cake I ate yesterday which was the size of a bungalow.
Emmy, I went to the expo on Friday afternoon and didn't queue at all, not sure how busy it gets on the Saturday.
It looks like I might have to change my t-shirt... it's caused quite a bad chaff (sp?) on my upper arm.... Anyone have any ideas of a tank top that doesnt do it?
Hope you're all well and training is proceeding as planned?!
I'm back. At least I hope I am! After close to five weeks of little to no running due to injury I've managed to put in a couple of 10 milers this week, both in 1:18, and am heading out for 16 tomorrow morning to see how the foot holds up. But feeling so much more optimistic than a week ago!
Hi all, really sorry for he slow response, I looked when the lists were first out & couldn't see my name but obviously didn't look properly. thank you in advance for your support, it's my first marathon & I know I'll need all the help i can get. Here's my info:

Estimated time to 17: 1.45-2pm ish (I'm run walking & aiming for 6 hr finish)

Thanks again for this - the forums have been a great source of info & reassurance during the training.
Hi folks. I managed to do my 16 mile run today in 2hrs12mins, so crowds permitting hope to be at the 17 mile point as I first predicted around 2hrs20mins after race start. Many thanks.
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I will have to defer my place until next year, I hope you all have a fab time (runners and supporters alike).
LMD I did my 20 miler last week in just under 4 hours and did my last 16 1/2 miler yesterday and like you may have to walk and run as knee not good, was aiming for sub 5 but not now, what start are you on? we could perhaps spur each other on, this is my 2nd marathon.
Foxy Lady did you manage to put my details on the list, and are you at the Expo centre on the Saturday?
