Running bag ruined my favourite top

I recently bought a running back pack and mostly wore it through the winter over a jacket which with no problems, however as the weather has got warmer I've ditched the jacket. Put on my favourite new running top today to realise it the fabric was all bobbled in a pattern that matches where the bag touches my back and the straps go accross my front. I guess the bag has rubbed the fabric where it has moved while I was running. Has anyone else had problems with runnin bags in this way? I'm debating whether it would be cheaper to buy a new bag rather than damaging all my running tops. But won't bother if this is a common problem with lots of running bags.

It's happened with my backpack and my camelbak and with the waist strap on a bumbelt. Think it's fairly inevitable.

Yup, I can tell which tops I've worn most for commuting.  Think it's pretty inevitable because even if you have the straps tight enough to prevent the bag moving much, there'll still be some movement, which will bobble the fabric.  I say, wear those bobbles with pride - they show you trained hard!
