I havent bought your book yet Holgs, on the list though. I'm probably going to buy the first one again as well though as ive only got that on Kindle. I do prefer a paper book.
I have a backlog of 7 books to read at the minute, including two from our zombie author friend.
zombie author? I don't know what you are talking about
I have your book holgs, but can't read it yet as the kids are making me read the Darren Shan books that they are reading, and if I don't get them read they are going to spoil the story by telling me what happens
Nearly bailed on tonights brick but managed to go nearly 4 miles on the mtb followed by the 15 min run. Run was quite good actually. I slipped & slided all the way walking home from work but didnt slip once on the run.
Quick one. First Masters swimming class done and dusted. Really enjoyed it. Good people in the class. Ever so slightly Mothering swim coach but not in a too over the top way.
Holgs - Finished your book. Great read. Your description of the start of outlaw worried me though Guess as it's pretty up to date that we'll have to wait awhile for the third book
morning nurse.... Even the dogs won't go out this morning. Only -3 here. Got bitten by one of the dogs yesterday ended up in A&E. Steri-stripes, antibiotics and a tetanus later feeling most sorry for self. Gonna try a turbo later. Now have a saving tin for Outlaw next year! Enjoy your swim!
They were having a spat, I pulled them apart but fell over and the Mastiff accidentally got me instead of the other dog. First proper to do in a year, took me by surprise. Not too bad but most painful. Can't run or swim for a bit but should be able to turbo!
Holgs - started your second book. Had forgotten all about Zoe and 'Sunshine on a rainy day' - that was blast from the past - sitting in the Quad outside the Union bar in the first year of my undergrad! Happy Days!

Glad you enjoyed it. It's not bad in comparison to a lot of races, you'll be fine. I honestly have no idea if I'll write a third book or not, but if I do it will be at least 2-3 years down the line - have to find a few more daft events to do to write about.
Tim - I need more zombie books for my boy, it is the only thing I can get him to read. Now he is at secondary suddenly reading isn't cool any more, but he will read zombie books!
any recommendations (he is only 12 so I don't want to buy him books full of sex though!) gladly received...
Woke at 3.50am today with a monstrous headache, knew I needed to get up and take some drugs, but couldn't bear moving my head. Eventually got some narcotics over my throat, but have been feeling ropey all day. Spent the morning with a heat pack on the back of my neck. Decided to go to the pool this afternoon as I always feel better for having been in the water, and had Fink #19 in my sights. However, I managed about halfway through the first set of drills and had to concede that I really was feeling crappy. So I spent half an hour just steadily doing lengths. Taking something positive from that, at least I went for a swim and didn't sit on my arse
For some unknown reason, my goggles started leaking. Ladies (and possibly gents!) - do you think moisturiser affects the seal?
Am thinking tomorrow's brick will be turbo & run - icy, icy roads.
3-hour bike yesterday and I managed to mangle my mouth, cos my face got so cold that everything went numb and my teeth couldn't work out the difference between "ham sandwich" and "cheek". Bit like Mrs Digger's dog, perhaps.... although at least I didn't bite anybody else and my teeth are blunter.
And it's even colder today! . Two pairs of gloves on and I still lost the feeling in my fingers. Given that it was mostly hill reps today, that made me a bit twitchy on the descents. Can't say I'm looking forward to my run.

mathschick, it's Tim Lebbon. Lots of my stuff on Amazon. Coldbrook is a zombie book, although there is a bit of sauciness in there (NOT zombie sex, I hasten to add). Still, I was reading James Herbert when I was 10, never did me any harm (?). Has your son read World War Z? Excellent book.
Sorry for hijacking IM thread with zombies. Let's hope that's not what we all resemble at mile 20 of the run...
don't think he has had world war z yet, will have to check.
He can probably cope with a bit of sauciness, he is at the age where he is starting to learn things from friends, but doesn't really want to talk to us about it, apart from trying to bring inuendos into every conversation
now, just need to stop myself from curling up on the sofa with a book. Need to swim tonight, but swim session doesn't start till 8:15 so there will be a massive temptation to just go to sleep on the sofa and not bother!

Evening all.
Nursey, you still need to remember to press the sportcount button....
Nursey needs to remember to take the ruddy thing with her !!!
Bilateral breathing for the whole session.
I'm toast, but in a really great way!
Well done Donkey.
Remembering the way to the pool is an achievement
.... and a costume

Ouch Mrs D, that sounds nasty. What happened?

Not only zombies, Andy!
Had a great swim with NEWT last night, really feel it coming along now. Can't wait to get into the open water.

In all honesty I think you need to just rest tomorrow, there is nothing lost at this stage in getting yourself better.
If you train and are genuinely ill you could lose more than just one missed training session.
Take care and take it easy.
Jesus it's cold out, isn't it?

Mathschick - I always enjoyed Terry Brooks Shannara series of books, first one is called The Sword of Shannara. Easy reading. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Sword-Of-Shannara-Number/dp/1857231511
Obviously Tim & Holgs books would be my first choice though
thanks SD and cake
what is Tim's real name (or pen-name?) so I can check out his book?
If your saying Terry Brooks I think I might get away with saying this is a very good book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magician-Riftwar-Saga-ebook/dp/B008TGOMWY/ref=zg_bs_279254_29
