The RW FB group? Is this the same group that KK has banned me from, just because I had her blocked on FB?
The last I knew, the FB group was hidden and access was 'by invitation only', admittedly by any existing member of the group. KK and her dog are only administrators and therefore it is KK who controls who can join.
but as said again....this wasn't being discussed on the forum at all........you insisted it was so why be surprised if both sides have views on the matter........
this is only a month ban .but if nothing changes and time isn't used to reflect then i';m sure we will be back to square one...sadly...........it would be nice if things did change back to how they were a year ago ....
This is probably a side note but I completely agree with JB. This forum could be made SO much better if RW towers took more interest in its members. Fetch and MT have their own kit and you only have to see the support group at Mudchute to realise that it's the kind hearted and willing forumites that keep it going. I think (and do correct me if i'm wrong) that RW Towers gave them £25 for the support station. £25 for all of that free publicity and good will seems like a bit of a smack in the face considering how many people gave up their day to come and cheer on the supporters.
It is a place for people who have become friends on here to socialise away from the forum many of the members like myself rarely go on the forum if at all.
I have made many friends on there that I wouldnt consider on here.
Its all to do with the more interactivity of FB that this Forum lacks. Again that is this forums loss and FB's gain. This forum is slowly sinking and other more social sites are expanding.
Maybe its a sign of the times this find of fora may be old hat. with the advent of FB and Twitter RW has failed to keep pace. FFS you cant even get Firefox and Chrome to work properly on here
Don -I hear you. I really do. I'm sure she is vulnerable BUT you cannot force the world to fit your (her) needs. KK may have to make some adjustments herself. Is it because she can't or won't? She does have a strong rebellious trait meaning that she will confront constantly. Everyone could change for her and she'd stir it all up again because she needs to do that?
Everyone on here has said positive things about her. Perhaps focus on those words eh?
So kk has been given a one-month ban from the forum? Presumably the rest of the site - events database etc - is still available.

I don't see the problem about a closed RW group on FB - anyone can set up any group at any time?!
If you really want a group to hang out with your friends, then set one up, FB makes it very easy to do so!!!
KK took the initiative to set up a group, no one else has!! Not even RW! But now suddenly people are getting uppy about it?!
For all I care it could be called Runners Forumite or anything else.

Coming onto the forum was like car crash Telly, watching someone unravel with their personal issues. Time out may be a positive thing.
I know of forumites who are coping with, amongst other things, crippling debt and violence in the home. Having a hard time doesn't mean being exempt from decency, and there is a line to be drawn between interesting posts and lively debates, and the above.
Arguably others, including kk, have also been on the receiving end of unacceptable posts in the past, but that isn't an argument for saying that anything goes.
surely there is a middle ground between potential libel and personal attacks, and terminal political correctness? That's where the forum should exist.

There's a very good reason most of us are hanging out elsewhere now. It's rubbish in here.
And I love the RW FB group. It's much more fun in there.
As for moderation - I don't see much constructive moderation going on. We put up with huge amounts of spam and they ban people like D2D 'for life' and then let her back in immediately. That means you can't respect their authority.

No you're not, I think we all realise that which is what makes all this so sad. Despite what some think this isn't some kind of witch hunt against her. But remember, the people who have been on the recieving end aren't bullet proof either. Her attacks were, as Ditchy said, pretty personal and upsetting to be on the end of. Sadly Kk only seems able to see herself as the victim.
As I said before hopefully this is the end of it. We all love a bit of piss taking and banter, it's by far the best bit of RW. No one wants to see the end of that.
Anyway. More than enough said on the matter as far as I'm concerned. I really do think it's time to move on.

Honestly Minky, if you accuse someone of being on the make from selling kit publically, then the apology should be public imho.
Look. I always liked Kk, her thread is part of the reason I ever entertained the idea of Ironman. I know she is frustrated that she's not in a position to do the things she wants to, I understand what stress does to a person. Seriously, a lot of people here are juggling a lot of shitty stuff right now but the answer to that isn't to go on the attack.
My honest hope is that, ok... she's had a slap on the wrist. Hopefully that will drive home the message that the behaviour which got her banned is not acceptable to the majority. With any luck, she'll come back and it will be business as usual, but without those nasty incidents which led to her being reported. That's what I hope for.
what's done is done, KK is the one who needs to speak to RW and it's between her, RW and the people who have complained etc. I dont' think this thread is doing anyone any favours.
