Ten I shall report back, this guy is at the NCA in York where my sister teaches, had a look at their site, and it's clothed an mo. bet he doesn't hang from the ceiling and walk on me.
Tui na is awesome folks! I never had such focused treatment on my left knee, and he has eased right hip massively, with lots of elbow circles deep into the attachments.
I seriously need to retire in order to pursue all the treatments I could get used to.
RR Congratulations on your run I volunteered today and watched my wife trudge through the mud at Reading parkrun. I'm still undecided about tomorrow's XC event. Will see if I can persuade my wife to let me out
My eight mile easy run turned into 11.5 miles of hills and very muddy trails. I lost my shoe in the thick mud so had a nice soggy foot to shoehorn back in. Great fun . The thick fog around the hills made it feel like I was running in some kind of vortex. I could see the top of the hill and the path, but was surrounded by grey. Good job I knew where I was going. I ran further than planned mainly to do a reccy of potential route changes to avoid the worst of the mud. It can only get worse over the next few months!
It will be interesting to see how my knee feels after running the hills.
I'm thinking of loosely following the P&D schedule (up to 55 miles) for my marathon. Not long now before official training begins
Just back from Datchet xc - beautiful morning by the Thames at Windsor and had a good run. Great turnout, must have been well over 300 runners.
Great to see you again, Sleepy, along with Ben and Rascal. Good to chat with Ben. Hope Rascal's foot heals quickly.
Both Sleepy and i had good runs but the star of the show once again was Ben who won the race with a one minute margin on second. Well done Ben and good luck in Holland at the services xc event.
Thanks Reiki - it fits in well with my plan for the winter to do lots of speed and strength work - xc events and 5 milers/10k plus some work in the gym - mind you, haven't started the gym work yet as all this running gets in the way - maybe start after Cyprus at the end of November.
Ran 10.5 miles around the Highclere estate in glorious sunshine today. Just perfect out there today. Most of the run was off-road which makes it easy on the legs and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
The highlight was the 2 mile run down the old railway track bed and then the next 2 miles climbing from 528 feet to 865, first up muddy tracks which then opened up to close-cropped sheep pasture - perfect for running.
Over the top, and an exhilaring blast downhill on grass/mud tracks scrubbing off the altitude and into the village...Magic
Well done SB, Ben and Oscarr, great running, especially for Ben winning, again !!
MCS, love your site, really good ! Can you add me on for Reading Half, London Marathon and Wokingham. Might add a couple of races this year as I missed New York. Cheers FH
Did my 1st run Saturday, had not run for 10 days but got into it really quickly. Looking forward to getting back into regular training as my next marathon is 23rd December.
yippeeee - we're just home! Had a fab run today - didn't race - I don't have an excuse. I just couldn't be bothered so enjoyed a fabby training run in what was apparently the largest ever turn out for that race. In my defence - it's been a long year and I haven't done any speed work for ages so there wasn't much point making myself puke by trying to keep up with the fasties over that distance.
I did however jump in every puddle and enjoy some banter. Pretty happy - was only 2 minutes slower than last year and it was way muddier! Didn't even see oscarr's heels - he was doing his best roadrunner impression - beep beep
Ben enjoyed it too - he didn't run that one last year! He especially enjoyed the chap who at least tried to put up a challenge from the off even if he couldn't keep it up for too long. Can't fault him for having a go!
Was fab seeing you too oscarr - always a pleasure to have a good chat. Rascal's paw is fine (she cut it on a bramble) and she had a great time running about with her favourite dogsitters. At least she didn't drink anyone's tea this time though she did steal a piece of cake someone put down - ooops!

I'm guessing it's a chinese massage, and I'm taking the meaning as being push and seize.
An mo is massage - though it may refer to a different variety, 'cos normally it's offered by an unsolicited call to your hotel room at 2am.
... on the other hand RR did say something about getting naked!
Still plenty to learn in more ways than one. Google docs then.......not interested in this other stuff thanks!!!

24:54 in the York Park Run was enough for 70,82%, my new stat attack!
Lovely, bright, sunny, strange that I do better for time on a hilly course, very flat this one, around the race course.
I came 99th and was pipped by a ten year old girl!

Good work all!
Afternoon Reiki - looks like you will have to suffer me in a few weeks time; just entered the Perivale 5 on Dec 2nd - see you there
Yey! Looking forward to it. Not the race obviously, a terrible distance for me!

Mike -sounds idyllic
Your description is so pictorial it's poetic Mike, and I'm jealous.
You have captured the magic!
Thanks Oscarr, thanks ReikiR.
I'll definitely be running that one again that's for sure.
Mike - was it a race or just a training run?
