I think I will have to head straght home tomorrow myself to see the rellies off (they are down for the playoff final) but I'll give supporters a wave en route if I spot you - don't forget the sunblock, you'll need it!
Bear did turn up - but for some reason thought meet and greet was in St.James' Park so by time got to P point (about 9.20) couldn't see anyone so went to start/finish point and had a great view. Then as Bear has a great affinity with those behind I walked back along the course to see the final finishers. The last one in was a young woman accompanied by a marshal and it was lovely to see how encouraging he was. Was there to cheer her over the line and as I walked passed her in Green Park saw that she had an orthopaedic running shoe on her left foot. needless to say by time Bear got back to P place yet again no-one ther. Nevertheless really enjoyed experience and congratulations Schmunkee - it was hot out there!
Oh, can I make it clear I did not run it. I did not even walk it all. I walked to the first k-marker then crossed over the Embankment, waited until Jr and Dad of Jr passed, then walked the final 1.5k.
Although i was wearing my race number, it was obvious i was not running as I was wearing a dress and flip flops.
Also, i did not wear my chip so i didnt affect any results
Sorry for the no show. Woke several times in the night feeling unwell, then in the morning had a few funny spells. Bit today. Fine now. Prolly not something you'd want to share.

I'm aiming to get there for around 9am.
I'll be bringing cake. CP, you had better run fast if you expect any to be left by the time you finish.
Have a great race CP, Schmunks, Screamy and anyone else running and happy supporting too
Sorry to hear that B. I hope everything works out ok back at home.

We were just wondering why someone was doing the10k in non-running kit when I recognised you!
I didn't want to risk my injury but still wanted my t-shirt and medal and that seemed the only way to do it
Schmunkee - saw finishing you but didn't realise it was you - I just admired your style! Congratulations on doing the best you could .
Glad you were sensible Schmunks and sorry we missed you BBH. We did wait at the P until about 12:30 so we must have only just missed you
