I know that there are a lot of runners local to me that know this route, is it easy to find from Cooden - say Cooden Beach hotel? Can I follow it to Sovereign centre.
Any map links - struggling to find anything via Google atm.

Don't worry about it.
Found the route I think and it's not suitable. Shared cycle / footpath is not a good idea when you want to get a bit of speed in. The rest of the route looks like my normal commute.
the only part of that route that has a cyclepath (as you now know) is from Pevensey Bay to the Harbour and it's useless if you want any speed - better to stick on the road. and from the Star pub use the road to Westham and then to Pevensey Bay rather than go through Normans Bay unless you like the speed bumps on that section!
