Perfectionism in Runners

What’s it about?
There is currently a large amount of research that has examined perfectionist. However, none of this research includes the personal accounts of perfectionists. The aim of this study is address this issue by recording and reporting the personal experiences of athletes, dancers and musicians who describe themselves as perfectionists.

What’s required?
Participation involves taking part in a telephone interview that will last approximately 45 minutes. The questions in the interview focus on the influence of being a perfectionist on life as an athlete and life more widely.

The content of the interviews are confidential (no one other than the research team will see the responses in full) and anonymous (the participants name and the names of anyone mentioned will be changed when the content of the interview is reported). Participants will also have the opportunity to review the content of the interviews so they are completely happy with what has been recorded and how it is reported.
