Got my pack last friday and it looks a good course. Good luck to everyone this sunday! See you all at the start even though I might not realise it!!!!!!! :-)
Still haven't had mine either. I checked and I entered and paid for this on the 9th July, got my Cardiff stuff just a week later. Swansea are pretty useless, hope they haven't lost out stuff!!
not got mine...might not do it anyway, as I think I may need to preserve what is left of my achilles for Cardiff marathon. I'm gonna have to see how it feels on Saturday
Hey Caren..do you ever walk your dogs down Gower way?
Got my number! 1686. Yes Two dogs, we often walk the dogs Gower way. I usually walk around the Caswell of Fairwood Common early on a Sunday with my friend. Last Saturday, we did the 22 mile Rhossili to Mumbles walk, the muppets thought they were in heaven, they were knackered at the end, but would have done it again if we had asked them to, especially when we were able to let them off the lead at Three Cliffs! See you Sunday hopefully
I'm doing the 2 UP 10 Mile Time Trial and as long as my guts don't burst out through my hernia I might pop down to Swansea like and watch all you nutty runners.
Let me know where you are planning to take lunch butty.
Good luck all of you, won't be able to make lunch after but will try to catch you before. (If I get there with time to spare after last years parking fiasco)
Well, the day has dawned so to speak. All the best to everyone taking part. Hope to meet up with you, but I know how crowded it gets! I'm the plodder at the back!
God it was hot!!! I did 7 minutes up on last year, still disappointed though. Greeny, nice to meet you and your family, George where were you? WP how did you do? hope you are well, I was just behind you for much of the first quarter, then off you went into the distance. Went to the Baye View, no- one there so I came home, off now to walk the dogs. George if you want me to register for you for Cardiff, I can do so on Saturday but I must have your letter with your number on. If you e-mail me I can let you know where I work and you can drop it in there.
66.21 my time, <<<<<bit of an embarressed grin>>>>>>>>> just under a minute faster than the official time. Hope it's cooler in Cardiff, still, I ran the whole way, done run/walks for the two previous. Maybe next year I will crack that hour barrier eh?
Well I ran a little faster than Cardiff last week, got round in 35:50. It was hot out there today, but the early start next week should mean it is cooler.
54.02 on the tail end of the worst cold in the history of mankind. Felt Ok for the first 3 k and then struggled to get above an 80% performance. Thought the congestion at the start was bad, there were so many people who had lined up too far forward, my first k was a case of sprint/shuffle/barge/sprint/push/rudeness.
Didn't see any of you but saw loads of others that I know.
Next year I'm going to enter in a wheelchair cos I reckon that there were 2 prizes begging today.
Shampoo and Conditioner much appreciated!!!!!!!!
thanks to the organisers for the water stations, thanks to the public for the hosepipes.

I've got me number now - but can't remember what it is. AND, the T shirt fits!
If the weather is good why not BBQ on the beach?
if its the choice of running the 10k and not being able to do the marathon, I'm gonna miss the 10k.
Wait a minute...what am I saying...run 10K or run 42K....er....
How about at the entrance to the Carpark on the sea front ( opposite the pillars of the rugby stand) .
At 12.30 ???
Who's up for lunch afterwards .. probably the Baye view pub ( 200 yards from the finish )???

The traffic + parking have been pretty wretched EVERY time we've done this - I'll be aiming to get there no later than 11.30,
..so no excuse for not being sociable !

I guess the wind speed is not to bad but I am not sure of my geography enough, to know whether that will provide an inbound headwind or not.
Regards Wrinty
If its a SW-er though, think this should mean its behind our backs on the return ? The first half of the course also fairly sheltered
Theory v practive anyway (+ 'Sods Law' withstanding !)?
Have a great run all.
