Running shoe recommendations

Hi, I've been posting on here for a short while and I would like some advice on what shoes are good for running in. I currently have some adidas trainers which are ok. I went down to sweatshop a few months ago to go on the treadmill so they could see if they were ok which they said they were but I am wondering if or what running shoes could make a difference in my running.
