Same training levels, just swapped lunchtime sandwich for soup and eliminated beer. Spent the best part of a year trying to get under sub 20 at parkrun, but in order to help someone at work lose weight, I've been playing along and went from 74.2kg down to 72.6 in 2 weeks and suddenly, and with more in the tank, blasted out a 19.30 5k this weekend.
Never thought such a slight loss in weight (which was fat according to my fancy scales) would make such a differance. Will defo keep try and keep the weight under 72 for racing season as with that short of gain in the 5k translating to half marathon, thats a pb, easily.
