  • Where are we? I'm at the raised crossing outside the gallery.
  • Jelly Bean is on his way - I've told him to look for you by the gallery.

  • Bah I couldn't make it image Gutted! Have a great time guys - i'll be watching it on the box.

  • Johnny got a 15sec penalty to take for early bike mount image
  • Wowowowow!!!!! Brownlees RULE! Ali FLEW that race and walked over the finish line with a union flag in hand. Johnny is a LEGEND! Did a 15 sec penalty and left the penalty box in the same place he went in. WOW! BRILLIANT! All I want to do is go out and train. BLOODY HELL. Inspirational!

Triathlon is going to get POPULAR in the UK now I reckon!

  • YAYYYYYY!!!!

  • OARSUM image  Bloody OARSUM.

I just cant imagine how much they were suffering on that run, The effort/pain on Alistair's face running out of transition and it didnt change the whole way around.

I think I need to try harder.

    GO TEAM GB

  • Also the crowds were amazing, a real testiment to the Triathlon and the whole Olympic support accross the country image

  • Jonny is with medics - they are delaying the medal ceremony. Exhausted.com.

It was, but everyone wants to take up dressage now.  We're a fickle lot, you know.

Halfords will be stocking horses next week, mark my words.

  • Right when does the velodrome open to the public? Maybe a track bike and a horse?!?
  • What a brilliant day!  Great to see the Brownlees in action, good to meet up with people again and a lots of beer afterwards too. Perfect day out. Watching the medal ceremony in the pub with everyone signing the National Anthem was superb.

Meldy wanted to buy a Harrods picnic instead of going to the pub. Maybe she just wanted to check out the horses! image

  • I missed medal ceremony, anyone found a link for it?

  • Soup - how do you SIGN the National Anthemimage
  • I just heard in an interview with Alistair Brownlee that he ran the Tri 10K 1:20 slower than Mo Farah's winning 10K time!

Amazing given it was post swim/bike and what could be described as an offroad run, no athletic track bounce etc.  Would so love to see him head to head with Mo on the track.

  • Mo would kick his arse. Much like Ali would kick Mo's arse in a tri  image Stick to what you're good at I say image

  • The best thing I've watched so far. Soooo inspiring.

Definitely not an off-road run by any stretch tho' Barley. image

You would soon discover that tracks are accurate and tri courses are not imageimage

  • Plus he wasnt wearing spike image

  • Amazing performance from both of them.  To have a penalty and come out where he left is incredible.  We have some TV screens in the office and I managed to get most of the few people who were  there watching and cheering along with me image

Having a triathlete as an expert commentator was brilliant too, for once some useful and insightful comments.

  • Home at last. Too much beer!
  • Morning Cat (and all)

    How's the head image?

Great day out yesterday only sorry I couldn't stay for beer o'clock due to being with other friends..... Mind you looks like there are going to be some sore heads today image

  • Didn't realise you guys would be out that late... great effort! Had a great day, great spectating, great fun... pity I had to run off after just one beer but at least it was to go and watch the Athletics over at the stadium image

  • I finally closed the front door at 2.10am - feeling a little fragile this morning!

Blimey you really did have a session!  I was struggling after just 2 pints, so obviously need to train more.

Schmunks - We signed the NA in semaphore. It was subtitled on the telly too.  imageimage

  • wasn't it announced that Hugh Jones (of London Marathon measuring fame) had measured the Hyde Park tri run course and pronounced it accurate

  • After doing a quick google search - which we all know is always accurate image - it would appear that Mr Spartan is correct, it certainly was announced that Hugh Jones measured the course (if he did or not is another matter! image)
