fbf - that's exactly why I've just been to the video swim analysis session. I plan to practice what I learned throughout the winter in the hope that I can do reasonably in the swim instead of very poorly.
just seen the sevenoaks tri results on triathletes-uk website and my mate Rob (Baldi) was given the fastest swim of the day with 4:47 despite climbing out of the pool after 150m (of 400m) with neck ache, and then continuing the race!
what are these tri organisers on?? or marshalls/timekeepers more rightly. one of the swimmers on the Southcoast Tri results page is accredited with having swum 750m in just over 2mins!!! so his total time is amazing. still haven't had a reply to my time question yet. grrrrr
FBF- Glad you enjoyed your race, but have to agree some of the time keeping is rubbish- do they not use common sense. I am talking again of Nantwich tri- they had the nerve to send me the results with me not included and - get this- a customer care form for your comments, I am calming down enough to send them a response, with limited swearing.
This is a great thread as I like to study all the times that people do, triathlons are very difficult to compare as so much varies, even on standard distances the transitions can be long and so on.
haha - they've given me a corrected time - stil crap but better. they also seem to have corrected a number of other ones (including the 2min swim) but I still have many doubts as to whether they are correct.

mrs fbf had a good one btw - she came 16th overall in the female sprint wave and 1st in the over 50 category - well chuffed she is.
