I've always run in Asics and with my Gel Cumulus coming to the end of their lifetime thought I would try something different this time and after gait analysis went with New Balance 1080V2. I've had the occasion issue with slight Achilles strains previously (probably not helped by my lack of stretching!) but during one of my first training runs with my 1080V2s my Achilles were really painful and I struggled round 2 mins/mile slower than normal. Has anyone else had a similar issue with these shoes or is it just coincidence?
