Sports Bra Dilemma

TimeaJTimeaJ ✭✭✭

Hi Ladies

I am looking to buy new sports bras for running. I am having difficulties finding ones that fit me well. For example, I ordered a pair from Triumph online in my regular bra size only to discover they were too big for me. My main problem is with the cup sizes, I would normally go for an A-cup but most companies do not seem to cater for the smaller ladies.

Do you know of a company/brand that specialises in or caters for sizes 32A/B or 34A?

Thanks image

I am a 30A or 30AA and I just wear a crop top like this:

I usually buy the XS - it has an internal "bra" layer of tight mesh and supports me fine.

  • I think shock absorber do A cups too and they have crop top styles
  • I go for La Sanza, they go all the way down to A (maybe AA) and their B cup is closer to an A elsewhere anyway.

  • Timi, I'm a similar size to you (32-34 A) and I use one of the Nike pull-over compression type bras. I'm using a size XS (6-8) despite being a size 9-10 . Took a bit of effort to get the thing on/off at the beginning, but I've got better at that and it does the job. They don't make the exact same one any more but I think the Nike Pro Victory Compression Bra is similar, and is probably what I'll go for when I need some new ones.

Thanks for all the tips so far, a shopping trip is in order image

  • I am A/AA cup. I like the Nike crop tops with internal support, but as just bras I actually find the primark sports bras very comfortable, more so than the proper branded somes which I find the elastic can dig in a bit, and for £4 for 2 I reckon is worth a try.

I am happy to report that now I am the proud owner of two new pairs of Shock Absorber Running bras. They are the perfect fit and I feel truly "supported" during my runs.

    Great news Timi image

  • Just want to say, on my long run on Saturday I discovered the added bonus of the primark ones is that they basically have a pocket between the two layers of fabric which is a perfect energy gel holder! (This was actually the best part of this run, which was awful!).
