Why is it that.....

  • Why do people commenting on news stories on the internet, always think they know more than anyone involved in the case/story/etc?

Also why do trains always leave on time when you are running late?

  • Why do people risk their safety crossing the road when there's a pedestrian crossing 20 yards down the road?

Seen that today NR. An old bat pushing a trolley right in the middle of a dual carriageway in LIVERPOOL less than 20 yards from a pedestrian crossing. I told myself she must be either suffering from dementia or be terminally stupid because she could've easily been mown down.

  • Why did I enter Liverpool Marathon?
  • Because I'm very persuasive image

  • Degsy - you and me both!

  • Well have a word with yourself LB for not making me train enough image

  • I can't stand drivers who don't either give you a wee wave of acknowledgement or flash hazards etc. when you let them in, or clearly stop on a narrow road to let them past etc.  Soooooooooooo rude.  Or people who don't say thanks when you hold a door open.  Grrrrrr image  I was brought up to say 'thank-you', and so should everyone else have been!  I'll get off my high-horse now image image

  • I drive 10 minutes to work every day and go through 6 sets of traffic lights, I amuse myself by watching other drivers, and at almost every light, if the person sitting next to me is female under the age of 50 she is usually texting and will miss the light change

  • Why do people join the site and ask for training advice 3 minutes (possibly exagerated to make point) before their first 5k/10k/HM... ?

And then they are normally wanting to turn right into the next road and it's really congested so you end up stuck in more traffic. It should be illegal for people to make turns like that!

  • Drivers who don't acknowledge me either get the universal sign for w*nker... or I mouth THANK YOU out of the window and they get a slow clap image

  • Why is it that taxi drivers are allowed to even be ON the road?

  • Because it'd make the pavements far too dangerous.

  • Why is it that shops don't seem to answer the phone anymore if you call them?

You drive 10 minutes to work?

    Wow!

  • Why can't I finish my sentenc

  • Ok I know this is trivial, but why do some people open a window on a train then sit upwind of the draft. Last night some fat sweaty git got on opened the window just in front of me then sat futher passed the open window. I get full blast of the air and they get a nothing, twat. image I know it was warm last night but I didn't want the draft or the extra noise thanks.

on the positive side if the guy had sat downwind, between you and the window you might have had an unpleasant smell to deal with. he was doing you a favour.

Lee, I used to flash and wave at other drivers all the time, until the police told me to stop and put my trousers back on !!  image

  • Why is it that people think it's OK to chuck stuff out of their F*CKING CAR WINDOWS????? image

  • Why is people moan when i throw stuff out of my car window?image

  • Just you WAIT Degs! image

  • Why is it that you get yourself up and out EARLY to get a good spectator spot, stand there for hours waiting for something to happen and then somebody comes up behind you at the last minute and asks you to move for them so they / their kids who are nearly as tall as you can see?

    Piss off. image

  • Or worst still, they push in front of you without even a comment

  • I have VERY pointy elbows. image

The fact that they have kids seems to them to be a priority ticket for THEM to push to the front without spending time waiting.

I don't mind little kids standing in front of me. Mum can stay in row Z though. She was clearly too stupid or arrogant to get a good spot early enough.
