  • Introduced by friends, but we couldn't stand each other.
Ten years later, our opinions of each other changed somewhat.

  • I was close friends with his brother and sister in law - He was living in France with his girlfriend *spits* - he came back home for the weekend to visit his brother the same weekend I was staying over at their house.

We stayed up the whole night chatting and after the weekend was over he flew home and broke up with his gf - he came back and asked me out - we got engaged 4 weeks later, married 7 months after that and we've been together for 25 years image

Similar story. I met my husband whilst working on a project and we literally hated each other for the first 6 months we knew each other... then we got talking about whiskey one night and it went from there.

We're still very different but that's what works. We're not in each others pockets all the time so it gives us time to realise what the other one means to us.

  • at work. I don't work there anymore, he still works in the same place we met.

  • In a dodgy, illegal drinking den after a stag night!

  • .....in the gutter - he was I wasn't.

    I love this story

  • At work about 23 years ago, we had an on/off sort of thing for 5 years or so but it was the wrong time for both of us so we went our own ways.  He tracked me down about 18 months ago, we met up again, got engaged a month ago and I'm moving to the ends of the earth to be with him. image

  • At a gay wedding image

The couple whose civil ceremony we met at were then witnesses at our wedding 8 months later.

In fact it's our anniversary tomorrow image

    Pub in Riddings, Derbyshire

  • We worked in the same team, I gave her a lift to a friend's wedding, we both got drunk, enjoyed each other's company, and the rest is historyimage
  • Got in touch through a dating agency, met in a pub.
Have been together 19 years, married 17.

  • I lived in France with his sister.

I practically had to make a sign saying "I am going to jump your bones so watch out" before he got the message. We were not much more than kids. I was 19. He was 21. And I was his first and only girlfriend. He's a bit shit at wooing wimmin.....image
