I am very involved with my local Parkrun (Bramhall) and just wanted to sing the praises of this and other Parkruns. They are fantastic events and are very friendly and welcoming. Certainly in the case of my local Parkrun, the scenary is lovely and the people seem great and appear to have a lot of fun. The following website is a video that someone shot quite recently and I think it gives a great flavour of the event. I shouldn't admit to it, but I am the marshal at the start of the film shouting some encouragement as folks run up a short hill!
