groin strain

have had a pain for 2 months, it does not hurt when running or afterwards.
but gives sudden pain during twist of leg eg getting out of bed.
what's the best way to get this fixed, hopefully just time?? i think i caused it by stretching, not sure!

  • You're probably right - just time and allowing the affected structure (probably a tendon if it's at the front of your hip) to remodel itself, which you can't hurry. However, a gait assessment might not be a bad idea just in case the problem arose in the first place as the result of a biomechanical problem such as leg length inequality or asymmetrical pronation.

  • thanks for the help, will wait and see how it goes.
    this assessment lark sounds expensive!
also am currently living in italy , and not too hot at the lingo yet, any medical problems other than routine or emergency is difficult, so will hope it gets better.

    cheers
