Missing Maths Teacher

  • I think the French police are probably just letting people know they think that murder was a professional job and as such it's a bit harder to catch the culprit than it would be if some nutter had done it.   As you were.

  • Actually the thinking is now moving to the nutter theory. Was on R4 last night. UK police were critical of the French. Gun used was a Lugar, very common over the border in Switzerland. Lugar only has 8 bullets yet 16 were used so would have had to reload. A professional would have used an automatic to get the job done quicker.
  • All the police have to do to catch him is wait until it snows. He'll be back home then. All teachers are housebound and close their school's as soon as a couple of snow flakes fall.

You have to know what you're doing to get all head shots under that pressure though...

Or looney enough to think what you are doing is correct. I wouldn't consider Breivik a pro but he remained pretty calm and carried out what he wanted to do without much panic by all accounts.

If they were all still sat ordinarily in the car and were most likely unable to move or told not to then its shooting fish in a barrell.

  • There are some other strange features to that case though aren't there - but who knows it's all speculation.   Isn't a Luger what the German officers were issued with in WW2 ?

  • I think Brevik trained himself up to do teh task he wanted..........it wasn't a spur of the moment thing

  • Training himself wouldn't have taken care of how he kept calm and workman like in what he did. There is no way he had managed to simulate that situation before hand, he had to fully believe what he was doing was correct and necessary, or even normal, to carry it out the way he did. Everyone has the ability to "train" themselves up, so he is not unique in that respect. His mind is just very different to most.

Was this a spur of the moment thing? "Oh I'll just nip out and pop are car full of people in the head with this old pistol I have lying around." As long as they were able to use the weapon (it appears they were proficient enough) and in their mind believe what they are doing is correct then they most likely can carry on in a calculated manner as opposed to shooting wildly. There was very little specialist skill required to do what they did really.

I've just seen that reported. But Bordeaux isnt that far away by car (1 day's drive from Calais). I'm surprised they didnt get further.

So he'll be getting a good kicking in E wing for the next few years, or which ever wing they put them in, to the jeers of "Nonce!" from the other prisoners.

  • And does that make you happy Rickster?
  • No doubt the muggers of old ladies and the burglars will think themselves morally superior.
  • The guy needs his head tested, to run off with a pupil who isn't even 16.

How to ruin your life, part 86

  • Says something if they can take the moral high ground!

  • When I was at school there was a similar case- 35+ year old teacher, 14/15 year old girl. Police were involved and the guy ended up with a prison sentence.

I always wondered how he got in with the other inmates in prison, what with his crime, and the unfortunate name of Mr Swallow...

  • Hope he fared better than Mr Anally-Raped at my school did!
  • Surely he must have known that he would be caught and land himself in trouble before he did it.

  • he let his "other head" govern his behaviour and common sense went out the window.

  • Well the only mathematics he will be doing for the next few years is using pi to calculate the diametre of his arsehole after he's dropped the soap.

  • I just get an underlying feeling that you enjoy the thought of that Rickster. I like you mate but that isn't the most attractive part of your online persona
  • It was a joke Sussex Runner (NLR)!

By the way, what does NLR stand for?

  • North London Runner. I moved!!
  • He seems the naive one to me
  • Which one of the billions of he's are you referring to?
  • Is God a he?
  • He applied for a job at an Ex-pat's pub. Not a very smart move.
