That's a possible WiB, from memory that's 23-25 miles or so isnt it? Will need to have a look at the maps and see what the train access is like around there, I think it's southease that's the nearest station
The nearest station is falmer. Should be quite easy to get to just outside brighton. Think it will be about 25 miles plus whatever the distance is from the track to Eastbourne station.
Last year I planned a few marathons on the SDW. Steyning stinger, downland ultra, South Downs marathon to name a few. It helped give me a reminder of the hills! I'm not doing any recce until Easter but if you want to contact me, DM me through twitter @ultra_bobban to organise a run
Well despite having all the signs of a fracture they couldn't find one, have to come back next week for another scan and in the meantime book an appointment with a Physio to see what he thinks. Running is completely out of the question so I'm off out to see if it'll hold up to a bike ride. FML
Sit happens, I'm not going to worry about what might have been, scan again this morning says no fracture just a slight displacement/dislocation to the patella with some soft tissue tearing, doc says I can run again in a month so to me that means give it a go this weekend and see how it feels. At least that's what I heard
Ill be at cts Sussex too but not running driving a few people there and mostly loitering and trying not to get too cold! Might try and take myself off for a bimble!
I am always out stumbling over the Downs, mostly between Truleigh Hill and Alfriston (not all at once) Feel free to join me on the proviso you are slow as slow!
I planned to get a decent ammount of night running in but have failed totally and now the dark is getting shorter the chances are being less. But I think I will do a couple of late Saturday night runs to get the feel of it all.
I know when I did L2B I was totally disorientated at a point where I should have been most familiar...just because it was dark.

Anyone out on the SDW this weekend?
No way!?!? Bad news! Hope its not serious mate.
I don't think it's fractured, it doesn't feel like a fracture so I'm going to pretend it isn't and just continue with what I can do
Touie I understand, I can only pedal so much without running!
20 foggy miles on the downs this morning. There was a bike event going on, I hope I don't look as miserable as some of them when I'm racing!
I think that is called selective hearing.
I'm getting a bit scaredy especially of the dark dark night!
YEEAAAHHH!!!!! Recce runs???
I won't be at TP100 mate, I am racing at CTS Sussex... I say racing. I will be running more than racing it I think
Can you run at all Touie? If you are entered you could join in the 10k or HM route maybe?
Ah ok, didn't realise you had already transferred. Which one is in May? Looking forawrd to 35 miles of sussex trail and Chocolate GU!
Hope you have a good run on sat WIB I'd give you a cheer if I knew what you looked like!
