RW sub 3.30 marathon programme - hill session query....what is it?

Hi Folks,

New here and looking for some help.  I have just started (week 1) of the above training programme and it says that on Saturday I should do 3M to include hill session or circuit.

Any ideas as to what this means?  Find a hill and run up and down it till I hit 3 miles?

What does the circuit refer to?
