Prepatellar Bursitis
Just had my MRI scan results back and they show my knee is structurally totally sound, no cartilage damage or tendonitis. There is however a lot of swelling anterior to the knee cap, suggesting bursitis.
This is a problem I had last year and has come back again obviously. Last year I had two cortisone injections, which seemed to clear it up, but it didn't it seems.
Be interested to hear from anyone else who has suffered a similar thing. I have 4 weeks to wait before seeing the consultant (and thats private), itskilling me not knowing. I worry it may be infected, which can be very nasty.
