  • Your physio has some cruel and unusual methods!

  • Being able to do squats on a bosu ball does not mean you have good balanceimage

  • I can fill a teapot with boiling water in the dark and not spill a single drop becasue I can tell from the sound of the water when the pot is getting full.

This could be useful in the event of a blown lightbulb and no ready replacement

  • People show thier true colours and confrim what you had thought all along...

  • Today, 06.50 - The Shadows instrumental version of Dont Cry For Me Argentina is NOT an exercise track.

  • How to turn the heating on in my new house, although it was only a trial and will go off again until it starts to get cold

  • European union law lecturers don't like it in a seminar when you tell them that EU membership is a waste of tax payers' money, and that we should withdraw immediately. image

  • Not quite learnt today, but I recently learnt how zips work. I've often found my jeans suffer from slippy-zip and I end up walking around inadvertently with my flies undone. But if you make sure the tag is pointing down, this locks the zip in place preventing the problem. How I reached 31 without realising this I don't know!
  • Button jeans don't have that problem Catalin.

  • Ladies jeans almost never have buttons. And I'm sure they can still come undone at embarrassing moments!
  • That a toilet block is handy to shelter in when you're running in one of the Royal parks and the heavens open.

  • Well, there you go, I've learnt something new! image

Is it also true ladies blouses have the buttons on the opposite side to a man's shirt?

I can't say that I'm an expert in ladies clothing.image

  • Sister 3 gave me a fleece last Christmas that zips up via the wrong side.

  • Never try to use a hot cup of tea to take tablets

    I never knew this!

I finally learnt how to open a jar of pickle without having human strength (bang the lid on the corner)

  • I've just found out what a Crombie jacket is :0)

I still haven't learned where the corner is on a round lid!

  • I have learnt that you need to be careful and observant if you have a young puppy dog who is inquisitive and likes to eat everything. The reason I have learnt this was upon recipt of a £1600 vets bill as a result of said puppy having to undergo major bowel surgery image

Yes, ladies clothing does button on the opposite side from menswear, coats, jackets, blouses, etc. No idea why.

because most men are right handed?

  • I've learned that people on minimum wage can work out and bypass complex Engineering design systems made by people on astronomic salaries, and that a new dog costs less than £1600

Are you saying most women are left-handed?

  • Hey you just solved one of the world's biggest mysteries, why it takes my wife a good hour longer to get ready when we go out.

  • Sadly enough I know the answer to the zip/button thing. It's about being dressed by a valet or a maid. One would do buttons while standing behind the person, the other from in front and so clothes buttoned up either left to right it right to left to make it easier for the valet or maid. Can't actually remember which way round it is but that's the gist of it.

I've learned that Office 2010 screws up my mailbox and it takes IT a week to get it sorted. And they've still not fixed it fully yet.
