Kate, the pirate hat wearer in Heron this morning was probably Trogs. The water was lovely without wetsuits. Although the gunge collection in the swimsuit was a bit
Who knew there were so many floaty bits.
Unless there was another there before/after us. Definitely too warm for a wetsuit
Barring the apocalypse I will be down at Bossy this evening EP and JP!! Wearing my Pirate cap and sans wetsuit dont be put off by the glare from my legs!
Can anyone give any tip off's for where you can swim near Aylesbury? Off to the in-law's this weekend and hoping I can get the wetsuit out at some point. Assuming there will be somewhere near Milton Keynes but Goggle hasn't given me anything. Barlist mendy if your about promise won't bomb in the lake.
Cheers mate will work out the roads and hopefully see you down there. If your lucky (and I am so I don't have to cycle and get lost) sarah might come to.
Buttercup, Pixie and Badger, I didn't get back from work till gone 7 I think I dragged my feet as I'm having a bit of a laze, Ive had a good week so far and running into work tomorrow so not feeling too guilty, sorry about missing you guys though, I would have spotted you all easily with our new hats, hope you all had a great swim. I wont be there Saturday as I'm doing B'ham Oly on Sunday
Sorry I missed you guys sounds like I missed a good sesh, I fizzled out last night, I'm letting the weeks training absorb today , (been reading Wiggo's book, he talks alot like that)
I need to work out what I am doing but I am potentially up for this as I work about 2 miles away and I loved the moonlight swims I did with Supercaz at Hayling Island
I enjoyed last nights swim, it felt like i'm starting to recover a little from the outlaw, did four laps. The top bit of the lake was the weediest i've ever known though, was like swimming over damp a soft brush. Might cycle over in the morning in tri suit have a dip and cycle home.
Pleased to hear swimming without the wetsuit is OK, Vachery tri on Sunday and they're probably going to be banned, going to Heron in the morning for a practice.
Mc there are showers and cup of tea after. Its 5 or 3.50 if you join the club (15.00) to join. It's ok the course is 750m in a circle bouys are quite hard to spot but I enjoy it more than hpp. Let me know if you are going and we can both invade with pirate attire
ok, well I should be ok to go on Weds, I'll let you know on Weds though in case something crops up. Will be fun to go in pirate gear, complete with new swim hat don't know if I can swim in a circle zigzag is more my knid of course
I would probably need to drive actually - don't think I would have time to cycle, have to wait for OH to get home from work so he can look after the kids!

I ended up with a goose feather as well as the weedy stuff last night and couldn't work out what kept prickling me!

You were Speedy Gonzales there last night EP! I did two to your three! Plans? Plans? *Spidey senses alerted*

EP are these cunning plans ?

If anyone is around in Nottingham Colwick park on weds 6-7:30 open water swim .
Chris - what is it like at Colwick? Do you have to sign up online? Might be able to make it next week!
TB that is my plan for tomorrow
Don't worry about no wetsuit,
if you can swim which you obviously can you'll be fine. No struggling to get the wetsuit on and no trying to get rid in T1
Off to my 3rd swim in a week without wetsuit tomorrow, I look forward to those way less faff
EP - fine to just turn up.

Lol zig zag is fine with me I usually think I've done really well on a lap and realise I have missed out the bouys by a few hundred meters
lol good sighting practice then!
mwahhaaa yes. I am thinking of cycling there on Wednesday, If you go would you like to ride along??
I would probably need to drive actually - don't think I would have time to cycle, have to wait for OH to get home from work so he can look after the kids!
lol we all break up on Tuesday for 6 weeks so I can do as much training as I like- as long as I still get the housework done
Haha I just ignore the housework. Gets embarrassing if people drop by unannounced though
get a big under stairs cupboard and jam it in there when you realise someone's at the door- better still hide behind the sofa quietly
