Reg.....I'm very impressed it too your wife this long to say them........mine uttered those immortal words last week and has been talk in grunts at me ever since!
Surely they'll let you bring the kids along as well............it's not like Paris is known for it's romance!
I decided to FACE MY FEARS (as advised Malcs) this morning and enter the sub 3 forum........ all I can say is that I wanted to run straight back to my friends over here with all the ! It was so S-C-A-R-Y, I had to console in DS2 for support but thankfully I've got some nice welcomes tonight. I think I'm way out of my league there anyway!
Just got back from my local Sweatshop 5km time trial where I have some nice social running friends who made me feel better!
I've been posting some pics on my blog over the weekend if anyone wants to see my OH's morning "bed head" !
More celebrations to come tomorrow morning...........................
It's nice to see everyone branching out and facing other forum threads.......it's like I've become an adult all over again and leaving home for the first time!
Hahaha, DS2 you will be pleased to know I don't eat like that every day.
About those dreams, I have the running through treacle ones and the ones were you look down and your running in your slippers - now I realise why I've never been a big fan of sleeping!
Andrew, I think I would rest for a few days and get some new trainers. If you do go running I would ice it afterwards if you can. Hope it feels better soon.
Time for bed now, looking forward to catching up with you all tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Caroline.......I hope your husband has planned a very special day for you..........obviously revolving around running and checking this thread.......well, breakfast in bed at the very least!
Thank you all so much, you are all very worthy winners so far
I've taken the day off work today to go do some retail therapy and chilling in Canterbury. It's got lovely high street shops! Will post more pics on my blog page later today. Have a lovely day everyone xox
Just got to my desk after running an easy 7 miles this morning with the head torch. Just like Rhod Gilbert, I'm not quite sure how bright a million candles would be, all I do know is I would expect it to be brighter than my torch was this morning! May be time for some new batteries. Was cold this morning but amazing feeling of having the whole world to myself
Tony - I've done the 3 peaks and also, in my opinion, the better Welsh 3000s, Once I get my sub 3 marathon, the next challenge is looking like it is going to be the Three Peaks Yacht Race, I have a skipper, just trying to find a boat we can use! What were you thinking of on Skye? I've spent enough time in Scotland and the West Scottish islands are definitely places I want to explore soon, we're thinking about the possibility of a trip to Skye in the summer.
DS2 - I've picked up a few good tips on the sub 3 thread so far but I've not been particularly active, once I really start training hard, I'll hopefully have a little more to contribute
Steve I am at work today i do however intend to go for a run on my lunch break today completing my usual 10k route... anybody else planning a run on their lunch? Do people have the same route that they do and become bored of?
Sills - at the risk of sounding serious for a change, the light emmitting power is measured in lumens and most torches worth their salt should quote a figure for this. I believe my H7 is 140 lumens. The Petzl Tikka xp2 is 60. Theres are ones that go over 200 lumens (approaching the million candle mark).
