Weight loss after stopping running

I ran a half marathon in October, and had been running about 4 times a week for 3-4 months. 

I struggled to lose any weight whatsoever during training, but since stopping (or pausing!) my running schedule I have dropped about 5 kilos.

Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, was there an explanation?

  • Yes, as I eat less when I'm not running. Lots of people will.

    Although I also tend to go out more when I'm not running, so the booze calories put the weight back on. image

  • Thanks Weeble. I've actually been diagnosed with overactive thyroid. Explains the weight loss and the hardship of the training too.
