I wanted red hair when I was 14 but my mum wouldnt let me, I guess I should really be thanking her now as I dont think I would have ever got my natural colour back!

Never thought we would be talking Lazy Town and pitching for a place in the real team at the same time.

Fortunately my kids were not into Lazy Town for long.

Top stuff. Smiley face with a red hat that I cannot do from my phone.
  • any takers for a 11th hour bid??

this is the place that delivers results...image

Zuvai - we should go into business together. I'm sure we've got the patter to sell at a market stall.

Roll up! Roll up! You'll not get this chance again....
  • Good luck guys I'll be a lukin on your threads image

Good luck everyone. There is time (not much) for someone to come in with a last pitch as today still has 15mins to run image

  • You have as long as it takes me to sort through all the pitches over the next two nights and then I'll post to say its closed

If I have a busy night you might have an extra 24 hours   image

    How exciting! image

So, very similar odds to the Target 26.2....

...unless you were in Paul and Sarah's group of course image.

  • when and how are the results announced? At least the odds are better this time round!!

  • Carl DCarl D ✭✭✭
All I can stay is best of luck to the judges. I think the quality of the pitches are good so it will be a difficult decision.

Today has been a very long day at work and I am still nearly 2 hours from home. Need to catch up on some sleep when the trains comes so it is goodnight from me.

    Agreed Carl.

Runningrachel - Christmas Eve is results day. Not sure how it's done. I would imagine it would be published here.

  • 21 pitches and lots of great competition image

    Good luck everyone

Easy run cut a bit short today as desperate for loo. Weirdly when I passed the library at 6.30am there was someone there putting books on shelves and almost banged on door demanding to use their toilets. But opted instead to dash home early. Meant the last mile of my easy run became a tempo run

I know what you mean slowkoala..I ran the last few miles of Dublin marathon needing the loo .. but didn't want to stop n loose a PB! good luck

Very quiet on here today. Just getting ready to go out for a comfortable 5 miler in the rain ! image

  • Haha bless you Malcs,x

I did some cross training today to rest my legs a bit after my speed training yesterday.....long run either tomorrow (depending on when I finish work) or fri morning.....can't think of a better way to spend my birthday!
  • Carl DCarl D ✭✭✭

Completed my 5 miles at 7:56 min/mile. It was tough when the wind and rain were come straight in.

Have been reading some of the other threads. Fascinating the stories of people on 40+ miles per week at the moment and I am doing about 20.

Is anyone wlse using MyAsics as a training plan. If I change it to reduce my marathon time in line with my current goal time due I loose the history ? If I do that is a flaw in the design is it not ?

What is the best sports watch out there. I use a Nike+ GPS watch but lately it has been giving me trouble like losing history and I am not convinced that it tracls actual pace well. Interested in thoughts.

Carl - get yourself a garmin. It'll soon become your best friend. Interesting you're using MyAsics training plan. What is your marathon goal time?

Sarah - you kept that birthday quiet!image
  • Carl DCarl D ✭✭✭

Minni - will defo check out the garmin as this is all that I hear about on these forums.

I was a bit sleepy when I set up the plan back in October as I entered all my previous PB's told it I wanted 3:56:00 and it set it at 4:06:00.

I really want 3:45:00 and do not think this is beyond me based on a solid pre-conditioning phase averaging about 20 miles per week. I have covered 151 miles in 25 runs, have a perfect rating for planned activity and distance and am at 83% of my planned pace average. This tells me that I either need to slow down or review my plan.
