Oh wow OH, I didn't realise!! Saving yourself for the day then.
Stewart it took me a minute to place the photo which is a worry as that's the way I drive home every day! Think it'll be mayhem down the Bught tonight with the bonfire etc. but I seem to recall that you run there rather than drive.
NN I hope the BB classes work! Hopefully that and the free weights will help.
Fiona, Not going to JS tonight taking the youngest to the firework display, will probably get a few miles in before leaving
NN, agree about pilates/body balance, I try and go at least once a week, but I do need to do more core work outwith class, I also recall the injury you got and it has been at the back of my mind, but so far so good two races, a 10 miler and a HM, and no ill effects, will need to see how they shape up to the longer runs over the winter
Can't blame JasonD ... and totally failed to meet you, Jason at Llanberis. Even your gentle jog was way ahead of me on the run (no surprise there) and I was too much of a woos to get drenched a 3rd time for the aprés run socialising Maybe next time? (did I really say that)
Stewart, I had 2 good races in mine also, I think what did it was the final 21 miler 3 weeks out of London, I couldnt put my foot on the floor for about a week after ! I also underpronate on the right foot, so if your gait is pretty stable you should be fine.
Tek keep it easy !! I had my flu jab a few weeks ago , but I know manflu is much more serious !
MG1 rest up dont run till you feel better
Pilates followed by 10 mile run in 1 hour 36 @ 71%, heart rate nice and low but legs still a little tired after Sundays race.
MG - Sounds like a wee enforced rest might do the trick
Stewart - Nice easy 4 miles
NN - Nice training today. Sounds likes a good 10 miler.
--------
11.25 miles @ 9:59.
Legs felt pretty tired throughout, I think Mondays weights has to take a lot of the blame for that. Wasn't really in the mood for this but glad I got it done. Things seem to be moving the right way.
NN, Thanks for the advice, I'll see if I can ask run4it to check my gait to make sure the shoes suit, nice run and class earlier, hope the legs feel a little more refreshed tomorrow
Tek, well done with the 3, enjoy the club run if you go tomorrow
SM, Good run today especially when you were not up for it
MG1 sounds like an ideal time for a break, hope you feel better soon.
Stewart yes, I parked at the school on Kenneth Street, walked to the track, had a short jog then back to the car. 2.63 miles incl the walk (no way could I round it off as with a runner who does not even use a watch never mind GPS!!) Rest tonight and probably tomorrow as I have a friend's wedding at the Floral Hall, also want to rest the leg as feeling it slightly. Plan to do weights tomorrow.
Nice run NN.
Stuart well done, the weights really do take it out of the legs!!
Stuart well done on the 11.25 miles - mileage stacking up nicely
HM thanks
Stewart nice easy 6m in the rain
Fiona I hope the couple of days' rest will do you some good
Mace sounds like a good plan
---
Still a bit coldy, and I'm having trouble getting motivated for yet more base training. I failed to get up for the club run, and just managed a 0.5m warm up and 2m of 400/400m at 6mm / 10mm, on the treddie (to remind myself why I hate intervals)...
Tek - Nice intervals, need to get back to doing them at some stage.
Fiona - Hope you managed to get the weights done.
Stewart - Nice easy 6 miles last night.
--------------
Hadn't planned for a rest day today. But I've ran the last 10 days, and we have a monsoon outside, so decided it's a good idea
Think I'm going to do Saturdays 10k after all. It's only a couple of km from Glasgow parkrun, so planning to plod round that then run along to collect my number then run the 10k aiming for about 43 minutes.
SM6 hope you have had a good rest day, you have deserved it!
Well cross training tonight, feeling allot better but still not 100 % . Probably do need a good break , at least I wont be able to train full on in the next week as work is getting in the way again which may be a blessing
Have a 5 m cross country race saturday which i promissed I would do with some clients so cant really miss it.
Fiona, Floral Hall is a nice venue for a wedding, Glo's neice got married there a few years ago, how is the rehab going
Mace, I'm planning to follow that one too, but I will be doing a lot more 20 mile runs than prescribed, actually hoping to get back into that range soon,
Tek, Could be the body telling you to have a couple of rest days,
SM, hope you enjoyed the rest day, good luck on Saturday, looking forward to the race report
MG, well done with the cross training, enjoy the cross country at the weekend hopfully the weather is ok
----------------------------------------------
JS run last night the 5's and 6's combined for the first 4 miles and took differents routes back in, came back in with 5.8 miles gone so took them back around the car park to make it 6
Stewart - i did my first 20 last weekend and will probably do another couple in Nov/Dec. Along with a few 18's that should mean i won't feel too guilty taking a relaxed week over Xmas before hitting the LT phase of P&D going into 2014.
Tek - Nice running this morning. Is it not awkward running with a backpack?
Mace - That sounds like a good plan.Think I'm going to try similar, and get a couple of pre Xmas 20s in.
Stewart - Nice 6 last night
MG - Enjoy the XC
------------
Decided tomorrows 10k is too much hassle on a Saturday morning (I don't drive, so I'd need to be out the house for 7-ish) so giving it a miss. Had I been in PB shape I still would have went, but it's too much time/money for a mediocre time. So just going to do parkrun tomorrow.
With that in mind I could run a wee bit further than planned tonight, so knocked out 10.6 miles. Legs a bit heavy, and face is now freezing but a decent enough outing.
MG1 your customers run XC?! Sounds like you are in an interesting line of work!
Teknik good that the mojo is back but the body/mind does need a break.
Stewart it was tipping rain at various points last night, hope you missed it! My quads are really feeling the weights I did yesterday morning - 5 *5 squats with 25kg. Cycled to collect my car this morning and body balance tonight and tomorrow I run!! Ooh Christmassy smiley things! Today the physio released me back into the community as long as I build up slowly.
I was going to do a parkrun this morning however Chris was invited to an awards dinner & we didn't get back until very late so completely overslept. I knew I should have put the alarm on.
Stuart nice 10.6m in the cold. I find the backpack is ok - now I have a proper one with a chest strap - but I'm about 60 secs slower than unencumbered.
MG shame about the XC; enjoy the long run
Fiona great news from the fizz
HM don't worry - I had a week off, and I'm taking it easy
---
Just under 9m this morning in the mud with the club - nice to see everyone and to get their congrats
HM you probably better staying in bed than running in this morning conditions
16 m @ 8.37 this morning , felt ok when I woke up so decided to go out and see if I was upto a LR. Appart from getting soaked felt not too bad, away with work again tomorrow so no running til Tuesday or Wednesday but rest may not be a bad thing.
Hi Everyone. Back from india in one peice. All good - but was too busy for much running. A couple of 30 mins runs.
Today I did the weigh-in of shame. 1 stone heavier than when I did thunderun at start of August !! Thats it - no More - I am on it !!! Bottle of wine taken out of fridge and 6 mile run to start. Longer run tomorrow planned !
Trust everyone is well ( starts to look back at whats happened )

Maybe a moment of madness but ...

MG good 9 miler - like the sound of the jacket
Fiona well done on the gym class
Stewart nice easy 4m - great piccie too
OH 50k! I think Jason is a bad influence...
NN well done on a busy gym morning
---
Another 3m jog this morning - HR much worse (but I tried a hill)...think I'm finally getting rid of the man 'flu.
Well done on everyone's training.
Can't blame JasonD

NN and Fiona good work in the gym ladies
Stewart great action shot
Tek nice to hear you are improving
Away with work tonight and tomorrow night so no real chance of running, lingering cold has come back with a vengeance so maybe a rest might be good.
Tek, good to hear you're on the mend
MG, rest up and get well soon,
Fiona, thought I seen you last night battling through the crowds on Glenurquhart Road, hope the run went well
---------------------------------
Another easy 4 last night before the fireworks, kept HR between 70%-75% averaged 71%,
Stewart, I had 2 good races in mine also, I think what did it was the final 21 miler 3 weeks out of London, I couldnt put my foot on the floor for about a week after ! I also underpronate on the right foot, so if your gait is pretty stable you should be fine.

Stewart nice controlled 4m last night
NN Lol - nice 10 miler and good HR print
---
Another little 3 miler this morning - might risk a club run tomorrow...
OH - Good luck with the ultra
Tek - Good to hear that the man flu is clearing
MG - Sounds like a wee enforced rest might do the trick
Stewart - Nice easy 4 miles
NN - Nice training today. Sounds likes a good 10 miler.

Good that you are on the mend Teknik.

Tek well done earlier with the backpack hope your lurgy has gone now
SM good 10.6 earlier, been awful weather here
Feeling better today, Now not doing XC tomorrow as customers have dropped out so back to a medium / long run.
Sounds a sensible decision for tomorrow Stuart.

Agree with Fiona.
