NN, well done with the off road race, sounded like a tough one
IJ, hope you enjoyed the rest day
SM, well done with the run this morning, hope the legs feel a little better after your run today,
MG, nice speedy 10, that pace will feel easier when you're fully recovered
AGF, easier week ahead this week, before starting P&D plan next week, sounds like a good workout today topped off nicely with a cuppa, I got to say I'm partial to a digestive or two with mine
Tek, nice interval session,
Fiona, well done with the easy run on the treadmill, BB was a yoga class last night, really good stretching session for hips and Hammies, did me a world of good
Easy 4 @ 75% last night before BB(Yoga), it will be a reduced mileage week, but will look to get a tempo run in on Wednesday, and the longer run will be around 13-15 miles at the weekend,
Mace nothing new - I've suffered with eczema for over 30 years, and I finally got to see a skin specialist who wants to first rule out any contact allergies.
HM thanks, enjoy the run
Fiona well done on the easy 4m
Fab40 welcome
Stuart nice 6.25m and good luck with those two MLRs.
Stewart well done on the easy 4m and BB. Hope tomorrow's tempo goes ok
---
5.5m with the club this morning. I didn't feel great so I cut it short, only to find the car wouldn't start when I got back. New battery now so hopefully that's fixed it.
Tek, I remember my brother doing something similar, they had him on on non dairy diet for a while, well done with the club run, sounds like a rest day would do you some good
MG, well done getting back into it, if memory serves those PT sessions can be brutal
---------------------------------------------
5 miles JS run tonight decided to mix it up with some fartleks in the middle miles with some Indian files to finish, I enjoyed the session, hopefully the group enjoyed them too
November Project week 4 done... first mile was up Steep Hill, then 3 x a figure of eight round the cathedral and hill / steps. 4.5 miles done before jam and toast for breakfast. Nom nom!
Stewart nice run last night and I'm sure the group enjoyed it.
Stuart great that you got the miles in, you'll be pleased by tomorrow night!
IJ and MG1 good training yesterday too. MG1 I hope you can move today!!
Teknik how are you? I know you won't rest but my call would be better to rest for a day or two than do lots of short runs and feel rubbish at the end, at least you'll get a rest when the tests are being done. What a pain about the car!
Club run last night and I joined then for a 'speed' session. I just did it as a brisk 2 mins on/90s rec * 8 and all ok. First speedwork in 8 weeks!
SM, You will be glad that it is a rest day on Friday, meant to be blowing a gale that day
Fiona, You'll be happy to be running intervals with the club again, delighted for you
MG, good sign that the legs felt better after a few miles, good session today
Tek, you'll be feeling a lot better after a couple of days rest, try not to go stir crazy
HM, glad you are enjoying your running, hope you can get out again soon
-------------------------------------------------
Just over 6 tonight with 3 quicker miles, decided not to push too hard so kept it at a comfortably hard pace, splits turned out at 8:36, 8:37, 8:28 with an average HR of 81%, happy enough with that at this stage of the campaign
MG1 good that the legs got going after a few miles.
Teknik, great timing on the rest days.
Stewart it was great to run with the club but I need to get some speed back! Nice run last night, planning something similar myself tonight. 8 miles easy last night.
Stewart - Nice tempo run. My HR would be higher for that speed! Thanks for giving a weather update, I was planned to postpone this mornings run this tomorrow until I seen your post.
Tek - Hopefully the rest sorts you out
MG - Good 8 miles yesterday. Nice speed for the last 4.
-------------
11 miles @ 10:08 this morning. Ave HR 140 (70%)
Decent run, pretty sure HR number are rubbish though. I struggle to keep HR under 150 usually, whereas it was happy to sit around 137 today. Hmmm...
Rest tomorrow, maybe go for a swim and then parkrun Saturday which will put me over 200 miles in a month for the 1st time
Stuart - sounds like a possible improvement ? I find if the HR reading plays up it is always high and never low.
Nice running folks.
Cutback week for me though i may have a crack at a local 10M on Sunday. It's a coastal race and very exposed to winds. Looking for confirmation of MP training pace so if the wind turns up like it did last year i'll probably pass.
well done on the mileage Stuart M6; I broke 200 for the first and only time in August, though clocked just over 400 including July as well. Great feeling!
10.5 last night, though I didn't feel wholly great, just tired! about 8:50 pace, so more like LSR pace. Might do a couple tonight just to keep on 40 for the week. Marshalling the parkrun tomorrow
OH - Good luck for the 50k tomorrow, hopefully the weather isn't too bad!
IJ - Nice MLR yesterday
Mace - I hope the wind drops for the race on Sunday. I think the change in HR seems to be too much too quickly to check out. To be fair, things are feeling easier.
Stewart - Nice easy JS run last night.
-------------
32x25m in the pool this morning, think I've forgot how to swim...
Weekend plan is 5-7 tomorrow including a fast parkrun (Glasgow Victoria) and 18-19 Sunday.
Work for me tomorrow and hopefully 5 miles on Sunday. We've got advance notice of a power cut (last weekend we was without power for about 8 hrs and had a mobile generator set up to supply power to the estate) and will be put back onto the main grid.
Well done on the 11 AGF, work really does get in the way of running!
Stuart nice 11 by you too. Good luck with the fast parkrun and IJ with the marshalling.
Good luck with the 50k OH!
mace I'm with you on giving the MP test a miss if it's as windy as forecast.
Stewart I was on the treadmill last night as late (and tired) and just varied it between 13 and 14k/hr so not a proper tempo but it was ok. You are running very consistently, nice. Not going to body balance tonight, it's been a tiring week!!
Comments
Tek - Good interval session again.
AGF - Impressive haul of training yesterday
MG - Nice quick 10 miles
Fiona - Well done on the easy treddy run.
-------------
6.25 miles @ 9:56 this morning. Legs a bit stiff from Sundays LSR and Mondays gym. HR stayed reasonable low, which was nice.
Back to back 11s for me the next 2 mornings I think...Looking forward to Fridays rest day already!
HM, get well soon,
NN, well done with the off road race, sounded like a tough one

(on top of 8.3 miles of rolling hills last night!)
10.9 miles with 6 @80% (A pitiful 8:56)
Pretty much the same as last week, marginally lower HR. Off to bed to dream of another 11 tomorrow morning on really, really heavy legs
Stewart nice run last night and I'm sure the group enjoyed it.
Stuart great that you got the miles in, you'll be pleased by tomorrow night!

Fiona good speedwork nice to see its all coming back
8 m earlier, first 4 @ 9.0av last 4 @ 8.15 av, legs achey after last night but felt not too bad after 3 or 4 m to get them going again.
Enforced rest. Patches are on, so no running until Saturday...hopefully that will clear the cold.
Stewart,
I did thanks.
