What did you have for dinner last night?

Go on blind me with you culinary wizardry!...

Me: 1 slice of a rather large pepperoni pizza...and 3 jam donuts!

did a big food shop an hour before not good but extremely tasty.

  • salmon fillet, boiled rice, peas and sweetcorn...

..and 3 glasses of wine and 15 jelly babies!!!!!!!
  • NessieNessie ✭✭✭
A frozen Tesco Healthy Eating Sweet Chilli Chicken with Noodles.

Didn't take much preparation and I could even taste it through my cold.

(btw - I would recommend it - it tastes great)
  • oooh flipper that is one of my favourite quick dishes!!

I had a Sainsbury good for you chicken chow mein, which was suprisingly tasty, would have followed it with some chocolate but forgot to stop at the shop on my way home so had to do without!
  • ahem, cauliflower cheese and fish fingers !!
  • spag with pesto and side salad and glass or organic apple juice with kids

then 1/2 bott wine and a chip butty with Thin Spouse

    OK I lied

    2 chip butties

and some maltesers seem to have dematerialised over night
  • flr: Go girl! Aww...Mmmm Chip butties....
  • Hi All

    Medium chicken breast (Skinless, grilled)

Red, green, yellow peppers, onions, mushrooms, spring onions, tomato flesh (not seeds) lightly stir fried in olive oil and bound in some tomato, basil and garlic sauce.

Some brown rice flavoured with tumeric.

Desert was an Activia low fat yogurt and a kiwifruit.

This was at around 21:00 last night after a 9 miler.

  • I am not worthy MK

you on the other hand are too pure for this wicked world

  • I worked late yesterday so I had leftover spicy Mexican pork (made with the lean escalopes) in a jacket spud. Nice and warming....
  • < dribble...slurp>
    Genius MK, pure genius!
  • Desperately need to do a shop but managed to find an M&S salmon-in-sauce-in-puffpastry thing in the freezer, with a baked potato. No veg in but had some tinned fruit with last dollop of icecream (Green&Blacks mmm).

Has anyone ever done an online shop? Do you get better bargains or are they the same as in-store?
  • Spent evening with body-building girlfriend so we 'had' to have two dinners each (she eats miniumum of six meals per day and I just can't sit there and go without)!

1st one: Chicken, Pasta, Brocoli, and Cauliflower.

2nd one (3hrs later): Salmon, Brown Rice and assorted leafy things.

  • Hi All

Gee thanks snoop, flr, although I not sure about the too pure part ;).

All that time I spent in catering college and in hot kitchens in the past has paid off :)

    Bon Appitit :)

  • I had chillied tiger prawns with mixed peppers and brown balsami rice in wraps

    Followed by a yogurt
  • Chiken beast (skinless) bruhsed with olive oil and balsamic vineger
    steamed broccoli and green beans.

Pleased with myself that I didnt open a bottle of wine, still feel so virtuous.
  • that was chicken bReast of course
  • gawd, all these healthy people - I had some unidentifiable processed plastic reconstituted cr*p last night 'cos couldn't be *rsed (rubbish traffic, every man & his dog with scrawling brat at Tescos on way home - no offence to dogs). Bizarrely, hubby had steak in ale that I'd conscientiously cooked up the previous night, am still trying to work out why I didn't share. That's it - too much red meat bad for you. Plastic e-numbers much better.
  • I had masses and masses of boiled and steamed veg (broccoli, onion, carrot, cauliflower, new pots) with a cheese sauce and lots of pepper... yum! No alcohol either, but Im going to make up for that tonight ;-)
  • Fish and chips bought on the way home from work and half a pint of cooking sherry....
  • I should add that fish and chips is generally my only recourse to junk food and then only once a month max....

As for the cooking sherry, well, er....
  • Jacket spuds and beans and sausages
  • carrot and butterbean soup, with extra carrots and some lentils, and a couple of toasted seedy bread slices

    and then a yoghurt

    and a fig roll

    and a piece of chocolate
  • AYWNUBTTOD: Nice one! we like fish 'n' chips hope they were nice and greasy.
  • Yeah they were just right and went down a treat with the cooking sherry!

Felt a bit sick after my early morning run though....
  • Eww! sticky belches!
  • Tuna salad with sweet potatoe mash, slice of wholemeal bread, couple of squares of green & blacks. Felt very full!
  • Whats this green & blacks?! must be nice...
  • mmmm

new bigger green & blacks bars - dark choccy with almonds and raisins i think
  • I love Green & Blacks.......it's organic choccy!
  • Some of its fair trade as well....good for the guilty conscience!
