Just started Running after surgery

Hey, i recently started running about 2.50 to 3 miles in the morning. actually am not trying to loose any weight as my body type is kinda not really skinny not average. I hv just recovered from an ankle surgery where wiring and plating was removed so am am doing this just to regain fitness and running capability, however am worried that this is to rigid of an activity for my ankle. What advice do you have
