on line entry is available here on Runners World but if you prefer postal enty forms can be downloaded from the Dunstable Road Runner website www.dunstableroadrunners.org
Starting and finishing on top of Dunstable Downs the 5k & 10k runs take you on the same loop around part of Dunstable Downs until you return to the centre. The 10k then continues on a different loop returning back to the centre for the finish.
The route is spectacular and demanding, and as this event is being held on Mothering Sunday, the Gateway centre will be looking to provide some extra activities for the enjoyment of any spectators.
If you are thinking of entering this event nows the time. This will be one of those events that will be memerable when you look back at your races in 2013 it would be a shame to miss out! on line entrie available here on runners world
Is it acceptable to enter the 10k but get a time for the 5k if the 'demanding' aspect ends up a little too demanding for the full distance? I have only been running a year and the winter has taken it's toll on training unfortunately, Sounds a fab run, btw.
Yes the 5k & 10k take the same route, if you decide at the 5k split that you have had enough you can just head to the finish line. You will be given a 5k finish time
Are there prizes and mementoes for the 5k as well as the 10k? Also how demanding is the 5k route, just returning from an injury picked up last September so not up to speed and distances of last year, many thanks
Yes there are Joy, Its not too bad just one short climb at around 3k. Down hill start and a flat finish
Sorry not this year Luverlylegs, but we are hoping to make this an annual event, so we will be looking at that for next year.
Late registration - Please collect your number on the day from registraition
Yes you can Julie, what a great way to spend mothers Day morning
Yes, thanks. Can you open up the field for parking next time? We had to call roadside recovery after pulling too far over into the ditch on Isle of Wight lane .
Sorry Helen NT wouldn't open the overflow car park due to waterloging, I wasn't very happy either. We will make sure we avoid the bad weather next time.
Ah, ok....fair play. I thought it might have been a saving money thing, but perhaps we would have had to call breakdown for a different reason there! And yes, please order spring sunshine next time .
