Long distance I mean 5-10k ha.Anyway,do you keep it even pace and slow during the winter and keep it short and fast (80-90%)during the summer?
I never do any speed work...when training for a marathon just do lots of slow miles and have got faster over time.......i feel speed work for me leads to injury....sometimes i will do park runs to have a faster run
mmm.Surely you should mix it up a bit? getting the legs turning over quick and increasing heart rate is important for improvement?Not sure what Dave means
I thought you meant flat out every session all year round
When you do your speed 5-10k training what sort of training range do you expect your hear rate to be in?
I struggle to get mine below 77%, maybe it's a lack of fitness
