Loved my first 100 mile experience. What a well run event and the weather was so kind! Huge thank you to those who were volunteering, we were so well looked after.
Well done Lingster and Dill.
I finished in 19:51, delighted to bag sub 20! And the biggest bonus was I never had to look at a map, lol. Only took a couple of wee detours but soon realised I had gone wrong.
Congrats Lotte32, great run (& very modest not mentioning also 2nd lady !). I was at Streatley when you came through 75mi - looking very cool, calm & collected
Excellent Race indeed, looks like everyone was flying. I don't think I've seen so many sub 24hr runners in a race before!
Dill, you were flying whenever I saw you mate, great time and an amazing PB.
I came home in 21:38, a PB by over 4 hours, amazingly no blisters and legs felt pretty good on Monday! Will have my first run tomorrow morning and see how everything feels.
Checkpoints were amazing as usual, had to stop myself eating the banana and chocolate spread sandwiches at the Bury Downs CP.
Feel like I have got my head around the distance now and know what to expect and how slow I will be moving at the end
Don't forget, if you enter the other one, then volunteer for W100 (which is always needed and greatly appreciated), you'll get free entry to it next year.
Nice touch, thanks guys. I'm very excited/scared, but am already on the case and looking for some baby-sized minimal trail shoes, and nappy-compatible compression tights.
All my plans for this year seem to revolve around being able to do 50m in 12h and keep going. I know I can do the 50 I just need to get the hang of keeping going, the old relentless forward progress, just keep on moving
Hmm, this new 'autumn' 100 is more attractive to me now. But I'm not of the same calibre as you guys and I know I can't start this one and be at the start line of the Abingdon marathon only 23 hours later.
I know the Ridgeway legs very well and should know the TP legs after May this year so this might be possible in the future.

Well done to all who took part in this event. Glad the weather was good for you.
Really looking forward to the Thames path 100 now.
Well done everyone! Just which organs has James sold to the devil to get this weather? And will it last??
Ditto Tiago, couldn't have put it better.
Well done to all who ran or volunteered it was a cracking race.
Well done Lingster all 4 races sub 24. Excellent
I managed to finish in 17hr 54 and 7th place so well pleased with that.
My race report can be found at http://dill-runs.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/winter-100.html if you are interested.
Great report Dill. A 5 hr PB... you have to love ultra running
Agree, that's a great report - nice to see you got your blister problems sorted out, and wow, what a PB!

Well done on the fast times all you Winter Warriors.
I will have to get my backside into gear if I amgoing to keep up with you all next year!
I'm in for 2014, hoping to complete the Centurion grand slam - a little arrival in the summer might have his own ideas on that though.
Arrrrgh want to enter.... But want to enter something else aswell and cannot afford both!!!! Dilemma
Just enter one of them then. Chances are the other will be there next year.
Might I ask what the W100 is up against?
booktrunk I agree with WiB, just get entered!
Don't forget, if you enter the other one, then volunteer for W100 (which is always needed and greatly appreciated), you'll get free entry to it next year.
I think all this running talk has overshadowed some rather more important news posted just above.
Tiago's going to become a Dad for the first time this summer, congratulations mate!
..And try fitting in ultra training then!! Congratulations Tiago. Excellent news!
Nice touch, thanks guys. I'm very excited/scared, but am already on the case and looking for some baby-sized minimal trail shoes, and nappy-compatible compression tights.
Richyla, WiB and Ben....
I listened... I'm in *gulp* first 100m.
hoping I might be entry 111
Well done!
I have no A, B, C targets. Just Finishing is my target.
Have done a 50, have three ultras lined up this year 69, 86, and 50m
Thanks Richyla
I guess I could almost think of it as 6,7,8,9 hours per 25m loop.
actually I should think 5.5,6.5,7.5,9.5 and I'd still have a spare hour
A good target would be to complete the first two loops in 12 hours.
That would give you 18 hours in the bank for the last two loops, so you would have a bit of a cushion if things go wrong later.
sounds good to me.

78 places left, anyway.
