    Walk to the start?

  • Have you tried asking someone who lives near the start line? Such as your friend?

    You and your crazy notions!

  • A lot of the roads near the start/finish of the half marathon are for permit holders only, but its not usually too bad to find a space. See if your friend can get you a couple of the daily residents parking permits, even if you reimburse them it will be cheaper than the carparks!

Otherwise, the London Road Station carpark is just over £17 for the weekend http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.cfm?request=c1247116

It is a bit of a trek down to the seafront, but it's much cheaper than the carparks in town.

  • If your friend lives near the start line then park there.
  • You can get on street parking in the Elm Grove area of Brighton, in particular the roads off of Southover street. It requires no permits and as long as you can find a place you can park for as long as you want for free. Its about a 20 minute walk to the start and the centre of Brighton from there though, so depends what you are likely to feel like afterwards. Hope this helps and enjoy the race

  • Yes that's a good idea
