I'm starting from scratch! Have just signed up to my first 10k.. I know currently, I can jog/walk 2 miles in 30 mins, so here's hoping 12 weeks is long enough to build up to 3 times that distance! I'm doing this for charity so speed isn't really too much of an issue! If anyone has any tips or advice - it's welcome
feeling slightly daunted (but determined!) at the moment. Thanks!

Er... walking pace is 4 mph, or rather 2 miles in 30 mins....
The couch to 5k plan attemps to get you running 3.1 miles in 30 minutes. Given that you're currently at 2.5 miles you could probably jump to week 5 or 6 of that immediately. That would leave you 8 weeks to double the distance, so I'd suggest adding half a mile each week for 6 weeks and then easing back for a week or two.
Enjoy the race.
