Just after some last min advice. Am running my first half marathon on Sunday! Had major abdo surgery June last year. Recovered well and back to running doing 6-9 mile long runs then suffered bilateral ankle tendinitis which put me out of training for another 2 months. Have now been running since late jan and have got back up to 9 miles in 1hr 22 mind. Have not managed more than 9 miles but was hoping crowd and adrenaline will carry me the final miles. However have just read about the run walk strategy (against my personal challenge of never walking!?? but now wonder whether I should follow a 9-1 ratio to ensure I can finish? Not too worried about time just want to get to the end!!!
