But I haven't denigrated it, I have asked questions
I haven't accused you of making any money out of organising the event.
All I have done is ask, why won't you answer the questions people have asked, and I suppose now I should ask why you have been reduced to name calling ?
Sometimes it is better to answer the questions, rather than make people wonder if you have something to hide, Not you understand that I am accusing you of hiding anything
Right you guys! I've just found out that you lot are generally, no matter what happens, a waste of my time.
Happy whatever it is you do!
By the way anyone who dissed the GBR are scumbuckets!
So answering valid questions is a waste of your time?
It didn't take long for you to change from cheerful enthusiasm to abusive under a little pressure. I was prepared to give your motives the benefit of the doubt, but now I really do think you are hiding something. If that makes me a "scumbucket" then so be it.
A new runner myself it appears that in your world new runners/posters are not welcome. I thought it was a welcoming community As you don't like people who are new to running posting I am a little apprehensive as to whether to dare venture a comment!

....and I call bullshit, since you only started posting about this event. Jog on.
Poly.are you coming on here trying to say you have found a brilliant race that we might be interested in......whilst all the time forgetting to mention that you are the organiser....
If you come on here and from the start are being underhand then immediately people will be suspicious.
If you then try to evade questions and then start insulting people then its not great...
event organisers are not allowed to come on here in general to promote their own races.....
as they should be paying RW to promote their races...which is how RW have the money to keep the forums going.........]
as a business person the prganiser should appreicate that its not god form to avoid paying other businesses their dues
Oh, I so hope I have not made a silly mistake entering this. I now wished I hadn't entered off the back of a race a high and had thought it through a bit more. What would happen if I didn't run due to something cropping up (it might).
oh dear - I seen the link at the beginning and put a post on my running club website about it. After reading the last 4 pages, I think I better go and delete...
Such a shame, as I'm gutted I missed out on the one that followed the Torch relay last year and it's a great idea but surely would need a massive company / sponsor to actually work.
I have just looked at his runsunday website and it looks like a parkrun type event. Why not just set up a parkrun and be part of that organisation instead of trying to reinvent the wheel?
If the runsunday event is genuine, then I would say it is someone being overambitious and out of their depth (running before you can walk).
Geniune or dodgy? I would stay well clear either way.
Hi just a quick post to say I feel Raining Hands has been getting some unfair criticism. I have on occasion run at his Runsunday event, and you couldn't get a more supportive, enthusiastic person who clearly just loves running. He hasn't asked me to come on here and I'm not him, or his missus! I just felt like he needed a positive word and unless my people judgement skills are miles off he is most certainly doing this for the right reasons. Cheers!
I was going to say well done then I searched and saw its next year. Then I saw a lot of follish people saying what people do is garbage..I'm new but why be so stupid!

Don't be ashamed to post on an open forum, people really are waiting for you to answer all the questions they have asked you.

And no one else has been reduced to name calling
Took my car in for service
Baked a ginger cake
And watched some TV
I also watched someone on the Internet do everything he could to avoid answering questions people had asked him

This event appears to have been postponed until 2014 according to an email I have received from the organisers. Hey ho.
Shame, the Romanians' record is safe for another year then.

I thought it had been postponed ! Although his web site doesn't say so
The only criticism has been in his failure to answer any of the questions he has been asked.
I was going to say well done then I searched and saw its next year. Then I saw a lot of follish people saying what people do is garbage..I'm new but why be so stupid!
I'm not on your path but will shout for you.
Hey raininghansd! You go for for it!
Yet another 3 post wonder pops up to plug this rubbish
I'm afraid I'm going to have to be classed as a scum bucket and proud of it.
Slacker Millsy.... How could you miss a gem like this ?
Well done Dave. Well done all of you.
Everyone involved in the GBR appreciates your support! Thanks Dave and everyone on this thread for helping to make this happen! You are all stars!
Wondered if you were ever going to answer all the questions you were asked ?
Thank you Dave for the Straw Man instruction!

So has this event actually gone ahead now?
Dave -- I was suckered into that question by the fact that the website has dates starting in June 2014 and it stating that all the stages were full...
One wonders what this post from RH was all about then
