  • Did you take fat pills to gain the weight?

Just eat properly and save the money you will waste on the "slimming pills". Spend it on fruit, veg and meat.

  • I was only asking !!

  • I know, and I was answering. There is nothing in my post that should upset you.

  • You havent upset me!!

Just find some people on here very blunt

  • It didn't require a long answer.

  • OBVIOUSLY NOT

  • No need to shout. image

My auntie took slimming pills once.  Turns out they were basically just speed - she was washing her windows at 3am.  Zooming.

I know, out of all the people here only 2 of us have taken the time to answer your question. Disgraceful.

  • The ones that work are either basically speed (which will give you a heart attack or make you go potty) or stuff to stop you absorbing fat (which will give you slimy poo and anal leakage). Everything else is woo.

    HTH.
  • Got nothing better to do than have you!!!

Nope, obviously not. You keep replying so it would be rude not to answer.

You are welcome by the way. image

sounds healthy enough. makes you lose weight through the extra exercise.

The primary side effects of the drug are gastrointestinal-related, and include steatorrhea (oily, loose stools with excessive flatus due to unabsorbed fats reaching the large intestine), fecal incontinence and frequent or urgent bowel movements.

no different to having had a few beers and a curry eh???   maybe they should develop a comncentrated version of that into a pill form......image

A very sensible response IMHO. Most slimming pills on the market are around 20 quid and that money could be well spent on fruit/veg.

I think that was on an episode of Supersize/Superskinny where one of the people used slimming pills and ended up needing a nappy.

    groder, you seem awfully defensive.

I would ask you to list what you eat during the day, but I think you would understate the amount to make it look as though you have a reasonable diet. Looking for slimming pills rather than cutting back on what you eat? Really? Try this, try eating cereal tonight instead of dinner. Do this every day this week, then get back to us and tell us if you lost any weight. If you arent willing to do this, then something tells me youre just looking for an easy answer anyway so aren't worth bothering with.

I know you get a lot of flack David but that was a rather good post and point.

I have a very good friend of mine that was obese (according to BMI) and was prescribed a well known diet aid. She lost over 20kg but stopped it as the side effects were too much for her to handle (everything mentioned above but also spots, bad breath, sweating issues). Everyone reacts differently but you need to be careful what you put into your body.

Nothing replaces a good diet and exercise.

  • I think you have hit the nail on the head there with

DF3 - actually speaking sense there.
  • Pills claim to raise the heart rate and speed up metabolism. Exercise is proven to do that. Healthy eating is happy running.
  • Lmao!!!
  • Err, these pills that were essentially 'Speed'.

What were they called again ?  Asking for a friend.

  • It'll cost you, Dicky M

  • Hardball eh ?    I like your style image

  • You don't know what the currency is yet ...

  • Not a good idea!

Much better with a healthy diet and exercise. Some slimming pills as mentioned above can have some very nasty side effects aswell as possibly restricting the absorption of some important nutrients.
