I do a few 10k runs, but am never sure what I need for this distance - I come from a background of short runs and long distances on the bike. I usually take water, but would I benefit from anything in it?
No, I don't think so.
Don't bother with the water either.
Don't need anything for a 10k. Make sure you are properly hydrated before your run or race. If you are a really slow runner and you are going to be out in the heat for a long time then you might want to carry a small water bottle but otherwise not.
Thanks for the advice. Lou, 'phet' makes me really thirsty but thanks for trying to be helpful to a newbie!
Depends how hot it is, You won't run a 10K in Dubai in 30C + without water.
