Definately cyclists who ignore traffic lights which obviously don't apply to them...then wail when they get mown down by cars that were merely obeying the signals.
Also,if the new bikes can go up moantains, and through jungle trails, why do these tossers swerve in front of me as soon as they encounter a drain-cover?
At pinch points in the road, and my side has the double dotted lines, I stop if someone is coming, it's called giving way. So why do the ignorant fools driving through wave their thanks to me, don't they understand the laws of the road - ejits!
People who think they have the absolute right to decide another person's fate based on their loos/race/religion/enter reason here and decide to label that person as mad/suffering all mental illnesses at the same time should that person insist on being treated fairly.
As a regular cyclist I hate people who object to me trying to save my life by occasionaly taking to the pavement to avoid obstacles or avoiding the grand prix start style mayhem at the trafic lights by going across as a "pedestrian" rather than waiting for the off.
My girlfriend was nearly killed recently by a "paragon of virtue" in his car that never even bothered to stop to see if she was still alive! As the lights went green she set off and the second car to go past her decided he wanted to turn left before he had got past her as he was obviously far too important to wait his trun until she was clear of the turning. He never stopped to see how she was after she was knocked off. Fortunately the lorry behind him was still going slowly enough to stop before he crushed her and he "only" injury was a fractured elbow and wrist that put her off work for 6 weeks. I'll take my chances jumping the red lights - thankyou!
You try cycling through London before you cast the first stone!
PS this is the forum for an arguement isn't it? C'mon - whose next? Who wants some of me? This ranting is remarkably good at clearing hangovers!
I have to admit that I have discriminated against many people because of their loos. It's not something I'm proud of but some loos are unforgivable, especially advocado or purple or brown....HATE! HATE! HATE!
I don't mind cyclists using the pavement as I agree with DTs that it is getting far to dangerous to cycle on the roads.
BUUUUUTTTTTTTT.....
What I hate are cyclist who use the pavement as a racing circuit and don't slow down and give way to us pedestrians / runners. I think if cyclists are using the pavement they should go at the pedestrians speed, if they want to go faster then they should use the road.
Whilst I'm on the subject, I also despise cyclist who don't use light on their bike, or who think it's OK to use those not very bright LED's and insist in wearing all black so they are invisible to everyone else. And also cyclist who cycle on the pavement because they haven't got lights and they think that is OK because they are not on the road.
Why don't cyclist use lights these days? Do they realise how invisisble they are, I hate it when I'm running along the canal tow path and they almost run straight into me. When I cycle I got a decent bright light on the front and back and wear fluorescent bib to make me stand out. I even wear a head light and fluor. top when I go out for my runs. It annoys me when I make the effort to be seen and cyclists don't.

Phew, rant over, fell better for that.
BUUUUTTTTTTTT... Surely that's not the point of the "rant thread" - we need diametrically opposed views and some intense ranting!
