Had been running full-blast for a year. then a salesman informed me that i have a flat foot and need orthotics. stupid me believed it. got orthotics. then got two shin splints...went to ortho surgeon. hey, i'm definitely not a flat foot! normal gait! podologist suggested i remove them since i don't need them. did a half marathon. now have a meniscus sprain. been resting for two weeks. going crazy. my pysio wants me to start slowly this wednesday. question: i have a competitive 13km in 4 weeks (28th April). is it worth doing? can i get my fitness level back? what program can i follow? pls help! ( coming to England the week after to find a good running shoe and get proper fitting advice.
