Hi folks, I'm back, Paris went well (in fact it looks like I might be on the other side of the barriers next year ).
I've started a spreadsheet - I don't plan to post it here regularly because it's a formatting nightmare, but I will post a final version before the big day to check it's right. So far I have No Pain, Liberty6201, Camlo, Mr Puffy and Hope to....Any more?
Hope to...do you want your full-fat Coke opened in advance? Let me know.
If anyone's planning to leave stuff at the Expo specifically for themselves, it's a big help if you can attach a picture of yourself in your running gear for the day. It's not compulsory, but it makes it much easier to spot you. Especially if you're going fast and aiming for a time - we can be that much more efficient on the day.
Claire - I think it was you who posted on the main thread about getting from Southwark to Mudchute. Allow 10 mins on the Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf, 10 mins to walk from the Underground to the DLR and catch a DLR train, 5 mins to Mudchute. Half an hour tops.
I'll be there from about 8am. It would be nice if everyone can be there by 9am if possible, but I understand that with journey times and crowded trains it is hard to estimate how long travel will take. The first runners from the mass start come through a little before noon, but if you get there earlier then you will see the elite and wheelchair runners go past first.
We have a lot to set up and it takes a fair amount of time, so the earlier the better.
the quiff is for aerodynamic reasons. i used to have clippered hair but after extensive wind tunnel testing, i discovered that it wasn't very efficient.
Super Caz I will drop off a few £'s for you guys just in case I am away before you all get there will also drop off a bottle of drink and a gel with my photo on
I am not sure that's the norm but I am sure there was someone who carried a picnic table round and had sandwiches to raise money for Charity, or did I just dream that
Hey, many thanks for this, not sure I'll need any special needs, but I guess some sweets and encouragement would be much welcomed...
Forum name - Rattler Rattler Name - Tim (name will be on shirt or vest along with "Woop-Woop") Race number - 36320 Estimated time to mile 17 - circa 2.50 What you'll be wearing - if it's not very hot - Purple Shirt, Purple / Pink Shorts - if it's hot - black / fluoro green vest, balck shorts..
Thanks Sofaboy. I did think about putting a Band on Trev too as a mark of respect. I could also put something on his shirt. I just don't want to be disrespectful.
Run with Teddy. You can't change your plans just ebcasue of something that happened across the other side of the world that you had no control over. I think the arm band is a good idea though.
Hope everyone is looking forward to the big day. Think the black armbands are a lovely idea to show respect.
Supporters dont want to sound like im barking ideas at anyone, do we have a list of our runners with times etc .... do we need one?? Also do we have anything to show where we are ie a big number 2 tee hee sorry!

Hi all
Liberty, I was going to drop some Ready Salted French fries as they work for me with Jelly Babies but not at the same time
This is what I will be wearing on the day:
I am not sure that's the norm but I am sure there was someone who carried a picnic table round and had sandwiches to raise money for Charity, or did I just dream that
I like something salty and not sweet after a long run. Not sure I would want it during, but if it works for you then go for it

Just been for a saunter round Blackheath - no sign of the portaloos yet .
As a mark of respect I will be wearing a black ribbon.
My thoughts go out to them too. I will be wearing a black band. I was running with a Teddy but somehow that just doesn't seem appropriate now.
no way, still do it. but get the teddy to wear a black armband as well.

that's not disrespectful in any way. go with it.
