Advice re - footwear

Hi again,

I'm still doing my pole walking, but I'm bored with just roads, so I've moved onto more grassy terrain. The problem is my New Balance 660'S don't grip very well. Any advice on off road shoes with good grip. I'm 86kg's and a mild pronator.

Cheers Ears

Erm, you might want to ask on a pole walking forum, Simon. This is a running forum. As in the name - "Runners World".

No don't thank me, I'm pleased to be of assistance.

Simon, why are you getting upset that runners cannot advise you on walking kit?

No need to get in a huff about it.
  • Where are your manners Muttley? Plenty of us cross train and sometimes I asked a question here about bicycles and got an answer.

That's a question you need to address to the OP - nothing ill-mannered in laughing at a flounce.

  • Thanks acdcgirl. I too belong to several fitness forums and often ask questions that are off topic. I was thinking of starting to 'run' again, but was easing myself into doing so by  pole walking first. I have purchased a pair of Salomon Crossmax 2's for £49 and hope they do the job?

    And Mutley, no-one likes a smart-arse

  • Salomons are usually a good choice. I now run in minimalistic shoes but had a pair of speedcrosses and loved them.

    Good luck with your training.
