There has to be a limit on capacity for every race Alex. It may be that Copenhagen has never filled up in the past but there will be a maximum number of people that can participate.
Guess you'll find out one way or the other anyway.
What a bummer it's going to be if you're fully fit, raring to go and there are no places left eh?
His question was a reasonable one. Lots of fit adults could do a marathon in 5 hours without specific training, especially if they've played some football, and including people who haven't done much distance running. That's fast walking pace for some of us. It would be tough and it would hurt afterwards but they all do. Many club runners do marathons much faster than that with no specific training. Plenty of people run sub-3 marathons in training too, and the "without breaking sweat" comment is clearly figurative. There's no real need for this level of abuse.
If you've got 4 weeks, it's an interesting point as to whether you should build up a bit of speed and general fitness, or whether you should build up some distance. Personally I feel that two long-ish runs would be a better use of time than a bunch of shorter sprint sessions, but I can see that a fairly intensive daily routine might do it too - after all, if you went on a 4-week hiking or cycling holiday you'd be pretty fit well before the end of it.
Quite frankly David I don't like you either, you claim to be on my side yet you use a "high and mighty" approach, defending me whilst simultaneously deriding me, thinking you are the ####### king of the realm. From what I gather you don't do long runs in training because you are above them, not because you have a limited time period and don't want to get injured.
Whichever bright spark ######## major detective thinks we are the same person can suck my balls.

What a complete and utter waste of time.

I rang them, the official response when I asked if it will fill up was a dry snigger followed by the response "just do it when it suits you."
