  • Top man, Ant.

Well done on your race, and great stuff from your 4yo. image

  • Well done Ant. Is the , now infamous, race number held on by gaffer tape?
  • well done Ant, just hope the 4yo gets his problem solving skills from his mumimage

  • I love you. You've made me a happy happy man. I can't stop smiling.image

    Thank you and good luck.

  • Thanks!

I read runners world and thought one day maybe I'd be worthy of an inspirational story box. In 2009 I weighed over 20 stone and lost 9 stone in around 18 months, I've attached a couple of pics. I'll probably run the Chester marathon in October then the transformation from obesity to marathon runner will be complete. It'll be kind of cool image

Good luck for your marathon. image
  • Great pics Ant.  I might meet you in Chester.

Contact the organisers... you just KNOW what number they need to allocate to you!

  • I'd love to get the number #1111, i'm deffo going to ask now it's been mentioned! LOL

I do feel proud. I'm thinking of doing the Potters Half next month, I reckon a sub 2 hour is on the cards image

  • Sub 2, you could go for 1.51.11

    Which is

    111mins 11 seconds.

    Good luck.

Do us a favour ......... please run slower than 1.55 in your half marathon.

    Yours, David Falconer

I'll aim for 1.51.11 and likely get 1.59.59     image

  • Love this thread - so funny, but so endearing too.

1111 got a podium place (4th) at the Watford 10k on Monday! The 1111 was printed just like yours, Ant, like a barcode! I wanted to take a pic but thought the poor guy might think I was stalking him!

  • this is so so funny!!!! classic  - well done on your half marathon and weightloss Ant

    chuckling !imageimage

Ant, I'm running potters arf let us know your number and I will get some locals to cheer you along yelling barcode or something similar.  Assumes your number isn't 1111.  some numbers have already been posted out so you might struggle to get it.

  • Oooh, look at my race number from today's 10k...

  • This thread totally deserves to have been bumped ... still makes me laugh any time I spot race numbers 11, 111 or 1111 at a race!!

  • This is a hilarious thread for sure. Chris, at least your ones look like ones! image
