software thats better than Garmin connect

I use Garmin connect alot and find it ok.

BUT, I would like to be able to analyse the data more- for example on my interval workouts I would like to know what was the fastest 5k I did.

Anyone use or know of a more detailed program?

There is this 'ere programme, Sporttracks.

I didn't get on with it (didn't like the interface) but your mileage may vary.

  • You can export the Garmin Connect splits to Excel then fiddle with it to you heart's content. image

  • Can you export into strava ? It always tells you your fastest 5k etc.

I started using sporttracks when Garmin temporarily went to Bing maps and like it a lot. I know use them both.

One thing that I like about sporttracks  is that you can display mile splits, even if you haven't set up auto lap on the watch.

  • Thank you will look into all those suggestions

  • I find fetcheveryone does everything I want.

  • +1 for sporttracks3. Its Brilliant.

Check out the DCRainmaker blog for a load of details on it.

  • Another recommend for Sport tracks - so good I keep meaning to actually pay for the full licence one day.

^but having just looked at the above website it seems they've stopped updating it.

I do like Fetch but, call me a snob, I find the design a bit Ceefax.

    That's part of its charm.

At least it is not all fur coat and no knickers.

It may not be the prettiest but I think it is the most functional

Sport Tracks doesn't appear to be available for MACs, can any MAC users suggest some good software?

I am new to all this so any suggestions would be welcome - not sure what I am really looking for other than Garmin Connect doesn't quite do it for me ...

Try RubiTrack - you can download a demo to try it out before buying it from the app store or direct from the developers. I've been using it for a couple of months now and have found it really good. There are a lot of features I've still to explore, but it's very powerful and gets updated regularly. Loads better than Garmin Connect, which I still keep on my MBP as a kind of backup...just in case.
